The kit is very complete and easy to use. The saws are quite sharp. I bought specifically to cut 6” holes in drywall for recessed lighting. I did have a problem with the mandrel plate tabs after the Amazon return window but I contacted the company and they immediately responded and offered a replacement kit. The company provided excellent customer service and I would not hesitate to try other products from them. I dealt with the same person the entire time. Do they work in wood? yes. Do they cut deep? No, somewhere past 3/4" is all you're getting. They're a bit thin so if dropped can get out of round. Everything in the case has a coating of oil which is annoying to handle. I'm happy I have so many sizes though for less than 20 dollars.

This is a nice hole saw set at a great value. It has sizes ranging from 3/4" up to 6" but keep in mind these hole saws are for wood and plastic only. They will burn out quickly if you try to cut metal. It even came in a case to store them all in.

I was searching for a hole saw for a project to run the line for my icemaker. While searching I came across this kit. For not much more than the single saw I needed, I could get a nice variety of saws to add to my tool collection. We have multiple home projects going on so it seemed like a no brainer to get this. I have so far used it to run the icemaker line, cut the holes for two new shower kits, put knobs into a few hollow doors, and multiple drywall projects. These have worked extremely well for drywall and basic plywood needs. I have yet to test them on PVC or particle board, but I am very satisfied with how they have worked for my projects. ... show more

    • 13 saw blades but you can't use all of them

The first problem with this is there's no 1" hole saw in the set. How do you give me 13 saw blades in the set and skip the 1" blade? The second problem is with the smaller blades that don't use the installation plate. The installation plate works with the 1 3/4" (44mm) blade and up. The plate gives the saw some bracing AND makes sure the saw is centered with the drill bit so there's no wobble, allowing for a perfect cut hole. For the 1 1/2" (38mm) blade and smaller the plate will not fit and the saw blade doesn't fit tight on the mandrel, there's a little play in it. When you tighten the nut that slop between the saw and mandrel doesn't allow you to center the drill bit with the saw correctly, so they are slightly crooked. When you power on the drill the saw blade wobbles which isn't going to give you a smooth cut or a perfect-sized hole. I've tried but haven't found a way to center the saw blade on the mandrel that keeps everything straight and aligned like when using the install plate. That means the 5 smaller blades are useless so I'm returning this. If you're buying this for the 1 1/2" blades and larger, then it may be worth it to you. ... show more

Multiple saws are out of round, causing an immense amount of wobble and irregular cutting. Teeth wear down under light use, set screw threads machined incorrectly making pilot bit in one arbor impossible to tighten.
