I consider myself an incredibly active person, walking about 100 miles total a week between work and my hobbies. Started having foot pain and people swore how comfortable their Hokas were. They all cautioned me that it would take a month to feel comfortable in them but after a month, I’d never want to wear a different pair of shoes. I was really desperate for relief, I gave it a full month and unfortunately never got it. They are incredibly heavy and honestly made my feet feel worse. I also believe the weight of them is what caused my shin issues. Maybe it’s just this specific model, but I have gone back to New Balance and don’t care to try a different model of Hoka because of how disappointed I am.
