Talking to a friend, I told her my knees were hurting and my feet needed more support and I was looking for sneakers with good grip as well and she told me to look for Hokas because her orthopedic doctor had recommended them to her… so I had heard of the brand before and even though they are expensive… my future knee surgery would be more expensive… so I bought this pair, also she advised to get them at least 1/2 size bigger than I thought because feet keep growing as we age and I was possibly getting shoes that were too small… so I did.     • Plantar Fasciitis pain almost disappeared instantly.

The first thing I noticed was that the shipping box was so light, I thought they sent it without the contents. But my size 9.5 shoes were both in there. Almost weightless!! The colors were more vibrant than in the screen image. They were already laced up which is nice. Don't always get that. But the most important thing is how they felt on my feet. I have plantar fasciitis and am almost always in some degree of pain from my left heel. When I tied these on and stood up . . . no pain. WHAAAT?? Why my title said most expensive shoes I’ve ever purchased, but I am really glad that I purchased them. They do hold up to the hype that your feet do not hurt after standing for a long day. Wore them to Disney World and didn’t have a trouble at all now I wear them to and from work my only complaint is that the back that helps you get them on has kind of broken down a little and it’s hard to get back up sometime. ... show more

I wish I reviewed these sooner. I purchased these in Sept. 2023 for indoor work shoes. I work as a dental hygienist and sit for a large part of the day. (Not much walking around or mileage on a shoe). I wore these around my office for a month before I started tripping over pieces of the bottom grips that had begun peeling off. I should have tried returning by that point but the shoes are rather comfortable and I wanted to make them work. I kept supergluing the bottoms of the shoes back together for as long as I could. I’ve also purchased different versions of Hokas that don’t have these raised grips that aren’t flush with the bottom of the shoe and are more “built in” that I haven’t had any issues with. Moral of the story: get the Hokas with the grips flush with the bottom. Do not purchase these. ... show more
