The shoes are ready to wear out the box. They are true to size. Since they are meant to be worn, barefoot, just slip them on, which is easy to do no on unlacing necessary. Immediately, you’re going to find the most room, your toes have ever had an any shoe, including a sandal frankly. I wear a 9.5 to 10 in womens and I ordered a 9. They fit perfect so they do run a little bigger than average. They are light and flex able. Feels like I am barefoot. My wide feet are not squeezed for the first time since the 90's Sketchers went away.
