Do not use on a mailbox if your mailbox is outside ... they may be vinyl but they are most certainly not waterproof. After three days and one light rain shower, these number decals are already shriveling up and falling off. Save your money and go buy something of better quality.

Only about half of the numbers would release from the backing, in spite of my being very careful and slow to get them off the paper backing. Most numbers came off with the top layer of paper backing attached to the adhesive on the number, which made them useless. Maybe they got hot on the way to me, but the whole experience was very disappointing. The numbers that I could get off without pulling the backing with them seem to work well on my Rubbermaid 18 gallon tubs. ... show more

These stickers are a COMPLETE waste of money. They are unable to be pulled away from the waxed paper that they are attached to without ripping that paper in half, leaving half of the paper still attached to the sticker which never allows the adhesive to be exposed. This renders them completely useless because they now have no way of sticking to anything. I threw them all away when it became apparent that I was not going to be able to attach them to anything. I know they are only $2.00, which is why I am not even going to waste my time trying to return them. However, $2.00 is still $2.00 and I wish someone would have told me how useless these were before I ordered them. ... show more

The numerals would not separate properly from the paper backing. Instead, the paper split into 2 layers, leaving a very thin coating of paper on what should be the adhesive side of the numeral. That thin paper was impossible to remove. I managed to get only one numeral out of 2 full sets to come off the paper in a usable condition. Very disappointing! One of the few things on Amazon that I’ve disliked, this has zero adhesive. It’s all stuck to itself and it tears off. I had stuck on a trash can and the next day I TAPED the stuff onto the trash can! I hope it lasts. Rather than sending one pack with the quantity of each number stated they sent multiple packs of numbers which ended up being more numbers that stated. At first I was pleased to see the extra quantity, however the quality is lacking. It’s hard to get them off the backing, and once you do they don’t separate between letters easily - causing rips and bent corners. I’m only using them for inside inventory boxes so it doesn’t really matter how they look, but if I was using them for a mailbox or door I’d be very upset and not able to use them. ... show more
