I have a fence that's about 3 feet tall, maybe a little less. It's made of black metal and is designed to be used as a dog run. I have a little 6-pound dog who tries to jump the fence anytime anything or anyone goes by. I swear, one of these days he's going to make it over the top, and that would be detrimental. These fence panels are a perfect solution that adds just the right amount of height at the top of the fence. Each panel is almost 16 inches tall before they are put together, so I ended up not putting them together and zip-tied them to the top of my fence, resulting in 14 panels (20 feet) and an additional 15 inches in height. He'll never make it over the top now! They are sturdy black metal, just like my fence, and they are 31.5 inches tall. They come with connectors, zip ties, metal stakes that screw on, and instructions. Assembly is simple enough that some people may not even need to read them. I got this to help trellis my indoor sweet potatoes as I develop slips for early Spring. Make sure to screw the fence legs into the shorter fence posts because they are the only ones that are threaded. The fully assembled picture is accurate. The longer legs aren't for the threaded fence legs as you might guess because of the way the instructions orient the lower half fence. The main thing this fence has going for it is height. Comprable fencing is all much shorter. This comes at an expense - the panels are separated and have to be put together manually for each panel. This is surprisingly difficult. You have to line it up perfectly and hold it in place perfectly as you slide it in, otherwise it gets stuck/jammed at a slight angle. May be better as a two person assembly. The feet are also very hard to screw in - half of them wouldn't even go. As with most fencing, little clips are provided to connect them which are rather useless plastic things that can easily pop off and also require the fencing to be hammered in in perfect alignment, which is also an impossibility. The feet/stakes have a slight angle to them which is nice for getting it into the ground. At the end of the day, these go in eventually and do the trick, but I am not convinced about longevity, as the material is very thin. I don't like these, they're not sturdy. You have to screw in the extension pieces if you want a higher fence. That's not the ideal way to have an attachment. There's better ones out there. It came with zip ties, but they're useless.

Product seems sturdy, has some coating so it should last a while out in the elements. My only real gripe is how short the panels are. This past summer, we had a big problem with squirrels getting into the tomatoes in my raised garden bed. I don't see t his providing any reasonable deterrent for t hem. Probably going to have to put in a predator statue or something. Price is pretty good - not great, but not a bad deal. I think if all you're worried about are rabbits, this will probably be OK. ... show more

This decorative garden fence work out great in my veggie garden. The metal wire looks nice and sturdy. Easy to assembly and instruction was simple and easy to understand. I mainly use it to guard the uncontrolled weeds & vegetables. I may consider using it as a trellis for my beans this summer. So far, this garden fence working well.
