I had the hifonics alpha 3000 and ended up giving it away. But I felt naked without my music so I searched for something new. I came across the brutus gamma 2200 and OMG. I feel like it's so much more powerful then the alpha. Im only pushing 2 12" kickers with it, but its definitely banging more then it did before. Love this amp. And only paid $120 for it. One of the strongest amps I've ever owned!!..I put it to a single 12" Power Acoustiks BAMF..blew it..put it to another BAMF..burned that one too..upgrading to a Rockville Destroyer 12"..we will see?*update..ran this amp to a rockville destroyer 12D2..its just too much power..the solution is to run 2 destroyers..and blow my truck lid off..LOL ... show more

For this power range you can find better and cheaper amps. I ran this amp for over a year and it was able to push my subs hard. Never had any issues with anything blowing or smoking out. It gets down and dirty. Be careful because you can easily clip this amp. Keep in mind that the gain knob is not a volume knob (I almost learned that the hard way when I was new to this) ... show more
