I've been happy with everything I've bought from this vendor, and this card case is no exception. It's well made and felt a little tight to start with, but it has loosened up a bit over time so I assume starting snug is how it was planned for exactly that reason. The leather is reasonably soft and feels nice, but also sturdy, like it's not going to come apart on you easily. I've been hauling around a waterproof plastic 'tactical' card deck in my backpack for a decade, stuck in one of the cheesey 'PU Leather' - unmarked _plastic_ offerings. The cards are still perfect, but a backpack of ballistic nylon readilly abrades the finish off of the garbage solution over time. (heh, get what you pay for) Admittedly this costs a bit more, but it's well made, rivets on the bottom, nice heavy stitching, and legitimate leather. Nice rustic upgrade to niche! ... show more

We have a set of novelty cards that we want to maintain for sentimental purposes. The cardboard packaging the deck came in has long since deteriorated, so I ended up buying this. It is fantastic value, and the leather smells great and is quite thick. I think the Cards fit snugly, and I have absolutely no worries about throwing this roughly in bags or on surfaces. Just like the display picture shows this is great for a deck of loose cards plus gaffs and definitely will need some stretching should you want to fit the tuck box in there. Maybe look for a slightly bigger size instead of possibly damaging the stitching and messing with the corners of your boxes. I love using mine in place of the tuck box and when they say 101 year warranty, you get the feeling that this could easily outlast that! Well designed and well built! ... show more

I purchased this for a different use, other than for playing cards. It should have worked based on the measurements given in the pics - but the thickness was off by more than a half inch. It was shown to be 1.5 inches and is actually just shy of a full inch (even when “full”) - that’s more than a 1/2 inch discrepancy - which makes a BIG difference when you order something based on the measurements that’re provided. I love hide & drink, and have purchased 8+ different items. I’ve had size issues before but just thought I’d made the mistake, until this purchase. I’ve gone back to those previous purchases and double checked, they were off too, so it wasn’t me. I’d suggest asking other purchasers how their measurements were, if the “size matters” for your purposes. ... show more
