My spouse and I bought our first puppy together. We have both had outdoor dogs while living in the country before we shackled up. We did not have a ton of experience with create training a dog. We got the pure bred hound at 8 weeks old (a little too early to separate from mother & siblings) and he started crying loudly on the first night. I had already bought this and had it waiting nearby. I put it on his create and he calmed down quite a bit. He is supposed to be around 130lbs when he grows up based on his ALC registered father & mother’s weight - so he grows exponentially, it seems. We have had him for 6 weeks and he has octupled in size in that time, is rambunctious, slightly destructive of this he perceives to be his own. This create cover has held up so far through everything. He likes the privacy & safety it creates for him in his create and is great for cutting distractions out so that he will go down for his scheduled naps. I purchased this for a 24" Aspen Pet wire crate with a pull-out tray. It fits the crate nice with just enough room on each side to make it easy to slip on and off, if needed. I like the zippered sides. Mesh window on one end is nice. Side and front door make it versatile. Has attachment to keep the rolled up side in place. Material is what I would call I heather mauve--nice shade of pink (not too dark and too light for me). It is not machine washable, but the material seems like it could be wiped clean easily. It is dust, water, wind, sun, and insect resistant. It arrived on time, neatly packaged, in excellent condition, and is a good value for the money! Ours will mostly be used indoors. I got a 12 week old puppy and immediately started using the cover. We could tell automatically our puppy struggles with separation anxiety, however, over time it has gotten better and i think this may have a small part in that. Eventually we were able to lower the side and keep the front open. I think it helps filter light during the morning and daytime as well. And hopefully help keep her calm. Crate training is tough but definitely worth a try with a cover. Our puppy tends to play with it sometimes since it has zippers and ties but overall we are still using it! ... show more

The versatility of the different zipper doors and the screen on one side is nice. I just wish the ties to roll up the doors were tighter so the roll is higher above the door for easier opening and closing without having to lift the rolled up door. For messes, the vinyl coating on the inside is easy to wipe off. This is a great alternative to the blanket I was using (cuts back on stinky dog smell and increases ventilation inside the crate). -- make sure if you have a chewer that you secure the hooks at the bottom of the crate/cover so they aren't tempting to chew the hooks through the wire. They also might want to chew on the rolled up door unless you can get it to stay on top of the cage where it's less accessible. ... show more

This kind of exceeded my expectations in terms of the material. I was so afraid it would be some dollar store umbrella material. But it’s not. It’s very well-made. And it fits absolutely perfect. I purchased this because my dog likes to get out the walls and she’s also a shutter, and this will help to keep her for with her :) and to also help With and not attacking the wall.
