I have not used the product yet but it does seem robust and capable. What the missing star is for is that it was supposed to come with a drill stop. So now I have to decide to either send it back in the hope that the replacement comes with one or just suck it up and buy a drill stop.

The jig is easy to use and is solid. I have used it so far for Pine, Red Oak and Poplar, it worked as well on the soft woods as the hard woods. The inserts are very strange, they are made of plastic and have a large apron, I am sure I will never use them. The starter screws are fine but the real winner is the slim bit that is included. Works like a name brand, for half the price. Not sure about longevity, but will good after about 100 holes. Probably not as tight of tolerances as a Kreg, but the holes look just as clean IMO.

    • Works as intended but pocket hole in tool is slightly off. Will ware down your bits faster.

The pocket hole for the drill seems a little off compared to the Kreg Pocket Hole. Nice it came with 2 drill bits as because of this minor defect wore one drill bit out after 80ish holes. Not bad for the price and recommend it if you do not need absolute precise holes.
