First of all, this ends up being a very large light fixture. End to end it's about 8 ft long, and about 5.5 ft wide. That allows it to evenly disperse a lot of light over a large area. There aren't any noticeable dark spots. It's very lightweight, I was able to hang it by myself. I made the two end pairs first, measured everything out and hung one side. Then I connected the cross-bar lights, and hung the other side. It's light enough that I just sunk a screw directly into the drywall without any anchors, and I really don't have any concerns about it falling. I'll add some anchors if it starts to sag, but there's nobody walking around above that part of the ceiling so we'll see. I would recommend using a helper to hang it if you have one available though. My only real complaint is the power cord that was provided is a little pigtail that made me skeptical of it using a 120V power source. I took the risk and plugged the bare ends into a switched outlet, crossed my fingers and turned it on and it worked! On that topic, it would be nice if the included cord was longer and had a plug at the end. I had to cut up an old cord I had laying around in order to get power to the lights. In the long run I intend to install a switched outlet into the ceiling but for now I just plug it in when I want light. Overall, if you have a little electrical skill, this is a really easy install and it emits a lot of light. Now that I think about it, I bet it would do a good job of illuminating a shiny car underneath like they show in the ad. ... show more

Now I don't know if ours are defective or what but I am not all that impressed with this light set up. It looks weird and the light displacement leaves a lot to be desired. I guess if you wanted it more for looks versus functionality that would be fine but other than that its a hard pass or me.
