  • This incubator works great!
I went into this with no expectations for success, boy was I wrong. We put 22 duck eggs in and used the manual setting, we waited the 26 days and we have 19 ducklings. That's a great success rate in my opinion. Definitely recommend this incubator to anyone with very little experience and beginners.

  • Doesn't stay regulated at all! Run!
I let it warm up prior to putting eggs in it. Made sure it had water, we read the entire manual front to back (was hard to understand because translation was awful though) I woke up one morning to check it and the humidity dropped to 42!!! Pretty sure this is when all my eggs died... i spent 45.00 on maran eggs and put some of our own fertile eggs in there, and on day 8 with no veins, they look like they died from the humidity dip b/c of the way the ring goes across it side ways. (Low humidity means when they rotate theys tick to the side) i cracked one open to investigate on day 8 and it looked like what I suspected. This thing sucks. We even have it in the Styrofoam box it came in to help regulate. Put it in a great location, but we still have to constantly mess with it, or open the top vent to get it to regulate. Its either super high or super low on humidity. The temperature also doesnt stay where it needs to be. This thing is a piece of garbage and if I can help other people not waste their money on this I will. Run away. Get another one. DO NOT lose time, money and effort on this. I promise as someone who raises chicks (meat birds and hens) this thing is garbage. :( ... show more

  • Check humidity
Everything seems to work good but the humidity level is hard to level out on this machine.

  • May need to find a plastic bottle with a long neck to properly fit the auto humidifier dispenser!
Over all liked the size of the incubator! Used it for hatching chicken eggs!
Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2024 by Product was over all great for price, out of 36 eggs 30 hatched. Some of my eggs were duds though! My only issue was I didn’t have the correct neck/water bottle to place on the automatic humidifier water dispenser. I had no issue adding water every couple days to keep the humidity at the correct level.

  • Poorly written manual and humidity hard to control
In order to keep the temperature where it needs to be, you have to use the foam case. This means you can't see your eggs to see if they are turning. The rollers do NOT turn the eggs adequately. The humidity is impossible to control. The manual is very poorly written and doesn't explain things well at all. The manual also states to email them if you have trouble or questions, but doesn't give an email address. Don't waste your money on this one. I wish I would have read the reviews closer before buying. Every negative review I just read is 100% correct. I've invested $30 in hatching eggs and this means my window for returning the incubator will be over before my eggs have hatched...if they even do hatch. I just wasted $80. Since leaving my initial review, now the temperature is fluctuating. This thing is GARBAGE!!! ... show more

  • Hatched Quail, Better than my more expensive one
I've kept quail for two years now and this is my sixth hatch. These eggs were not my own but came from a quality quail farm. I used an Elitech Model RC:5 inside the incubator to measure the temperature inside this incubator. It takes a reading every few minutes and later I can take it out and plug it into my computer to get the data. My first test (plain black chart in pictures) went amazingly well. You can see that over the course of a week 3/7/2024-3/14/2024, the incubator did not vary even a degree. I was excited at this point and started my new hatch. The monitor picked up temperatures from the entire process from 3/14/2024 to 3/30/2024 when I had my first hatchling. I deleted the data points after I opened the incubator for the first time. The dip on 3/28/2024 is when I took out the egg turners for lockdown. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that if you are hatching quail you contact the company so they will send you the extra egg turners. There is a strange change in temp after 3/22 which was me messing with the controls. I shouldn't have touched them. Make sure you read your manual! There are settings for many birds but I am raising quail. I accidentally set some of the heating settings on and set it to pigeon at one point. The hatch rate was not as high as my eggs from home but I expected that with shipped eggs. With these home incubators, you have to monitor the humidity yourself. It had no electronic water dispensing device. If you fill a bottle and connect it to the front connector of the incubator you will get up to around 50% humidity assuming an outside humidity of about 20% (it is dry in my home). Quail need humidity higher than that for lockdown so I used the included bottle to raise it to 60%+ humidity by injecting water into the back portion once a day. The back humidity tray is smaller than the front one, so you are going to get higher humidity by filling the front one rather than the back. The feeders and waterers are pretty much useless and I threw them out. They should have just included the extra rollers instead. I was annoyed at the alarm though it is good it has one. The incubator will set off an alarm if the temperature drops below what you have set as a minimum. To silence the alarm hit the '-' (minus) button. My old incubator comes from a big-name brand and it was wildly unpredictable. It is also currently $150 base here on Amazon and then more if you need the smaller quail egg turners. I recommend this incubator for home/hobby farm use. I highly recommend you get a temperature tracker for around $20 and do your own test before loading it up with eggs. I'll come back here on my next hatch to update. ... show more
