I ordered the black purse that was Prime eligible (there were two purchasing options for the black purse at the time I ordered). The purse smells fine! It has silver hardware and the photos are very accurate. I am quite picky about purses and this one suits my needs. It does appear to be genuine leather. Soft enough but still firm enough to have the feel of durability. There is ample room in this purse which was key for me because you never know when you need to throw in a bottle of water and winter gloves. Some observations: 1. The drop for the shoulder when using the shoulder strap is excellent. Plenty of room and it will work with bulky coats. Should also be fine for plus sized women. When you look at it lying flat it doesn't seem very long but once you add some weight to the bottom the purse folds. Additionally, the strap has functional buckles on both ends so you can adjust it and eve remove it if you prefer the long strap and it gets in the way. 2. The long strap is nicely made and converts it to a cross-body style which feels and looks good (not awkward). Unlike other Heshe purses I looked at the strap does not have material sewn on one side. It's 100% leather. 3. The interior pouches are not very deep, about 4" which isn't adequate for most smart phones, especially if you have a large case. This is not an issue for me since I never use these pockets for my phone. I will be using them for my primary cosmetics and mirror. 4. The zipper pouch on the side is bigger than some reviews led me to believe. It's actually about 5.5" deep and pretty practical. 5. The interior zipper pouch is nicely sized. Not too big, not too small. 6. The dividing pouch in the middle is about as high as the purse is tall and it does a nice job with organizing. I keep all of my odds and ends in there and it's actually pretty easy to see them when you look inside. 7. The lining is a lovely brown with a satin finish. The material feels very durable which is important. My one complaint is that the interior zipper pulls are small and hard to find blind. The size of this hobo bag is perfect. I don’t like small bags. The inside satin brown lining is unique and it makes the bag look expensive. I couldn’t find the 45” strap but later found it inside the zippered compartment. The 4” strap is perfect for me as I’m a petite lady. I like the zippered inside compartment, now I have a place to put my cell phone without fumbling inside the bag looking for it as I had to with my tote bags. This is my second bag from this company. I like my first one so much, I bought the same one again. My first one I purchased 6 years ago and just replaced it as my older one had become pretty worn and the stitching was going bad. But realize that it's been 6 years and my bag lives in my car and goes everywhere - including to the barn. It's been hard used - so zero complaints about quality. I got the same bag again as I get lots of compliments on this one. This bag arrived in perfect condition - however, my first one did not and the customer service was fast, courteous and immediately sent me a new shoulder strap to replace the one with the broken snap. I loved this purse in picture and couldn't wait to buy it, the purse itself was way bigger than I thought it would be, almost looks like an overnight bag, and I thought it was going to be more slouchy and it is really boxy looking to me, I love the color and material, the straps were way to long so had to add a extra hole where I liked the long strap. I love this bag! The leather is super nice. Pebbled and grainy, very nice weight leather. I got the "sorrel" color. It's a lot like Coach's "British Tan" color in person. It really does look like a sorrel horse in shade, lol. The dye process has effected a faint ombre cast to the color, which I love. It has subtle shading variations, very pretty, which all natural leather has. It does have a slight sheen to it. Not super shiny, but this is not a matte leather. The hardware and zippers are silver, and nice quality. The zippers track smoothly. I like that there are rivets attaching the carry/shoulder strap to the bag, and not just stitching, since I tend to load my bags to capacity. The included cross-body strap is also nice quality and is long enough that even a taller person can use it. I am 5'9" and sometimes cross body straps are too short for me to use. This one will work for everybody. The interior is satin lined, roomy. This is just an excellent bag for the money, I am very pleased and will be a repeat customer for this company. I love heshe purses! I will probably never buy anything else… The leather is soft but sturdy… The purses always break in so nicely. Made very well and you can tell but it’s going to last a long time I have several purses from heshe ! This purse has the divider on the inside which I normally don’t like but this divider comes up to about the top of the purse so doesn’t get smashed and keeps the two sides of the purse divided nicely. These are real quality purses at a very reasonable price… This brand will not disappoint you! This bag has so much room for all of my things… Without looking too huge and bulky. The shoulder strap is long enough to be a real shoulder strap without cramming the purse in your armpit. It is also removable so if you use the long Crossbody strap you don’t have double straps going on. Really like this purse I may order it in another color!!! ... show more
