I purchased this bag for the size and the layout, which is pretty good for my use. Exterior pockets can be hard to find and there is only one. I also wander how sturdy it is and it does have a faint smell of leather. Not the best leather but for under $100, what do you expect? This is a lovely Heshe bag, and is the third time I have tried to purchase a Heshe bag from Amazon. However, once again (for the third time!) Amazon has chosen to ship this expensive handbag without a box. This one was shipped in two thin plastic bags with a thin shirt cardboard as protection. Not at all adequate! Again (for the third time!), this bag arrived in a misshapen condition, its' beautiful shape smashed and twisted. As much as I love this purse, I just can't use it as it is, due to not shipping in a protective box. I have started a return to Amazon and, to my surprise, Amazon's instructions state that I must send the handbag back in a BOX! Why bother now that the purse has been ruined? I guess I'll go out to the recycling and get the box Amazon used to send 3 $10 wall calendars! (Shaking my head!) ... show more

Finally discarded my old traditional style doctor bag which is heavy with an inflexible hinge at the top making it hard to get things in and out. Had been wanting a flexible softer black leather bag of the same dimensions and flat bottom with metal feet. This bag is perfect replacement that is more comfortable, beautiful soft black leather with reinforced handles. Three zippered pockets and lots of space inside to fit all my tools. Flexible pleats at the top ends which look like a traditional doctor's bag without the stiff hinges. I do not use the shoulder strap or fringe decoration to make it look more professional without them. Sturdy and holds heavy things - full size Well Allyn otoscope/opthalmoscope, stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, neurological exam tools, and other items. It came beautifully packaged to protect the leather. What a win! And instead of $400 it was $69. Suggest this be advertised as an alternative physician instrument bag, at least for women and possibly for men. Next step is to have name painted on in gold letters. ... show more
