This hemp seed melt and pour soap base is excellent. It's the best soap base I've ever used and it creates a surprisingly large lather. Unfortunately, propylene glycol now seems to be in all of Our Earth's Secrets' soap bases. I've used one from them that supposedly didn't contain it. I prefer natural, safe bodycare products, and this soap base is better than most. But I'm unhappy about the propylene glycol and hope they choose to leave it out of future soap bases. Regardless, I'm giving this product 5 stars because it's super easy to work with and produces excellent quality bar soaps. I used it to make my herbal massage bar soaps and they came out lovely! All you need is a microwave, a Pyrex bowl, a small silicone spatula and whatever other ingredients you choose. Just be careful to keep powders, herbs, and other ingredients to a minimum, especially if you're new to this. I use small amounts of various plant-based ingredients, including essential oils, rose petals, calendula flowers, mica and beeswax. Start out small and build up from there. Otherwise the soap ends up overly soft and goopy. I'll be buying this hemp seed melt and pour base again in the near future. I highly recommend it! ... show more

This is a great soap base for working with. It carries fragrance very nicely and lathers fairly decently. Hemp is such a versatile plant so why not give it a try. It's not white or clear as most soap bases but it also carries color well. Please give it a try

The media could not be loaded. Lathers wonderfully, I added powdered milk oats and honey and a tablespoon of shea butter, rich creamy luxurious lather, I love it!

The soap is very nice! Very sudsy but not sticky at all especially if you add coconut oil it makes it perfect! This was my first time making soap and it’s very fool proof and enjoyable! All you do is put it in a glass measuring cup or bowl, microwave it, and then add oils fragrances and coloring then pour in your silicone molds! Ordering more immediately! The 2 lbs made 11 soaps that varried in style and size..will probably double my order next time and I’m very interested to try the milky soaps next!! ... show more

I absolutely love this soap base. I've bought it over Christmas to make soap as gifts and everyone loved it. I then ended up buying myself some to stock up at home. I just add a scent, in these I have basil and frankense. Then I add poppy seeds because it's a nice exfoliate. Then a tad bit of natural herbs, peppermint was used in these. I just heat in the microwave, stir, add, and then pour into the mold. ... show more

This blend makes a great body bar/shampoo and takes/holds scents beautifully. It may require color or additives, as the basic stuff is uncomfortably yellowish-bile green. Not as drying as other glycerine soaps, and makes a great shampoo bar. It has very little scent on its own. Not recommended for reselling, though. After a few weeks, I noticed it tends to "sweat" glycerin--more so than other "melt and pour" soaps, and formed crystals on the outside of the bars after a month's storage (even though they were wrapped and vacuum sealed.) ... show more

Love these soaps no matter which variety. They smell good, make your skin feel good, rinse completely out of your washcloth I use it only on my face. A little on the pricey side, but if you have problem skin, this has worked great for me and my family. You can add essential oils and/or coloring to them, however for the most part I like them just the way they come. This base is so great! Easy to use, cut and melt. I added additional oils to some batches like almond and of course essential oils. Be mindful of how much to add because it can make it to soft. It set very quickly! Overall, I would use again if I didn't have time to wait the 4-6 weeks when using lye on my own. Each lb yeild about 5-6 bars. ... show more
