I was really excited to get this Hello Kitty toy, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations. For the $45 price, I expected a high-quality item, but the materials and overall feel suggest it should have been priced at a quarter or maybe half that amount. While the design is cute, the construction doesn’t match the premium price tag – it feels more like a budget toy.     • Claw doesn't open
The media could not be loaded. Cute, but claw doesn't open up to grab the toys. Defeats the purpose and makes it impossible to grab a toy. Will be returning. Update: The new machine arrived and works very well. Eggs are a bit hard too open. Kids will need parents help to open.

I was really disappointed after waiting a month for my Hello kitty claw machine to see it arrived covered in scratches and dents. While scratches and dents didn't take away from the functionality, there's cheaper miniature claw machines out there. The entire gimmick is that it's Hello kitty. If I'm going to spend more on a claw machine for the aesthetic I want it to arrive in good physical condition. As a collector, it's pretty upsetting since the entire point is to display the machine. If you're looking just for a miniature claw machine toy for fun I'd recommend getting a cheaper one and filling it with some tiny Hello kitty plushies and figures instead. As a collector, buy at your own risk. $50 is just a lot to pay for a display item that could arrived damaged. Maybe you'll have better luck than I did, just be prepared. I still gave it 3 stars just for the fact it does actually work, and from a distance the damage isn't super noticeable. I do like that it functions without the use of coins like a lot of other claw machines. It's still cute, just definitely cheap quality for $50. ... show more
