Stopped by my go-to liquor store on the way into Palm Springs for a fun weekend get away and when the owner saw my purchasing the small bottles of pre-made habanero/tequila, he said.. "no, no.. let me show you something; if you like that stuff then this will blow your mind and it's cheaper". Man, he was spot on; I've since paired this with various tequilas and this stuff works perfectly with any good silver/agave tequila. The heat adds a nice little kick. I've served this at parties and people were taking pictures of the label, it was that bloody good (and those guests make their own mix from scratch!). The heat is fine for almost anyone, it's no where near over the top; but it's still just enough to give a chilli head some satisfaction. The little bit of heat blunts a good amount of the tequila\ alcohol flavor, so beware; it can be seriously devistating if you're not paying attention :) ... show more

I thought I'd try this mixer and bought two bottles. It's flavor is off-putting. Strong flavor of ginger, like ginger ale, not what I want in my Old Fashioned. The description didn't indicate about the ginger overtones. I've tried four other Old Fashioned mixes and they are 'normal', i.e., they taste like an Old Fashioned cocktail should taste at any reputable bar.
