  • Compact, Rugged, Easy to Put Together
This package was quite heavy when it came to my door. When I opened it up I initially thought that it wasn’t going to be as sturdy as I thought it would be (from its weight), but it ended up being more sturdy than I thought. It was fairly easy to put together after I puzzled out the directions (and puzzled out how the parts would fit together to get something like the picture of the rack). Also, two of the bags with the vertical poles weren’t labeled, but I was able to figure it all out in the end. I only had a few times where I had to take something apart and put it together the correct way (and that’s better than average for me). Everything is screwed tightly together (by you), which leads to the whole rack holding tightly together. There are three shelves (including the top), two bars for hanging a lot of clothes and a set of hooks that allow you to hang anything from. There are four wheels (two of which lock) which enables you to drag this from one position to another. This is rather top-heavy, and given that it has wheels, if you’re using it on carpet it will probably be rather tippy (especially when you’re pulling off a shirt from it). I’m going to (haven’t yet), sink a small screw into a wall stud behind the rack and use that to reversibly secure it so that it won’t tip over. This is not a criticism of the design, that’s just the physics of having a tall, shallow rack. ... show more

  • Effectively double your hanging space
This thing is great. I love the two-tiered hanging rods. May not be ideal for longer items like dresses, but plenty of room for shirts, sweaters, folded over pants and skirts, and there's even S-hooks included in case you want to hang some purses, scarves, or ??? on the end. The assembly was fairly easy once I got going, but when I initially read the instructions I was baffled by which parts were supposed to be which. Only some rods were in labeled bags and the rest did not appear to match the diagrams. There are more holes than pictured! I did get it done all by myself, though, and I really like it. The casters are big and rolled well across my carpet and tile. You also maximize your storage space with the three built-in shelves. It's fairly sturdy, there's probably some parts I could tighten more but I'm not worried about it. If you have too many clothes like me and my family, get this and roll in into your walk-in closet to give yourself even more options. ... show more

  • Nice solid piece - INSPECT THE PACKAGE
When this was first delivered, the product box was absolutely trashed so I wasn't surprised to find the entire hardware package was missing. However, I was able to return it easily for a replacement & the 2nd one was fine and had all the pieces. There are a lot of different "posts" and they all have their specific place. Most of those bags had identifying letters on them (A - D) but the other 2 bags had nothing at all to say which they were. Since the instructions reference everything (including the screws) by letter, that made it a little challenging. It came with an Allen wrench for the screws and a crescent wrench to tighten the wheels. Both are flimsy/inexpensive but it's handy not to have to find the right size. The hooks they give you are just plastic so I wouldn't hang anything heavy on them. It's pretty tall (the dark rectangle above it is the ceiling fan so...). I think you could hang shirts/coats on both rails w/o crushing anything. I also like that this has multiple shelves. For my purposes it's good but it could be a detriment if you need somplace to hang long things (coats, etc.).You can't leave it out, either, as it's part of the structural support. I suppose it's a construction issue or something but there's a big space in the middle of each shelf (see pic); seems just made for things to fall through but you could put a piece of plexi or something there if you need to. 1 star off b/c: - The instructions aren't super clear, they give drawings but they're not detailed and there are important parts they left out. As an example, when you attach the first set of uprights to the lowest shelf, it's important to ensure the screw holes on them face outward for the next step. I hadn't noticed they even *had* screw holes so I ended up having to redo 3 of the 4. I paid better attention as I went on & noticed a few other similar omissions so it's a good idea to look at everything before you start. - There were a few spots where a screw hole was not lined up properly (within the same post, even), making it hard to align to its matching piece. Most screws tightened correctly but a few got all the way in & then just spun. Not sure if that's a product of the screw or the hole(s). There are a few extra screws (of both sizes) so I may try one & see if that fixes it. PRO TIP for when you're assembling an item like this, where you have 4 screws coming in from each corner. Do NOT screw one side in all the way first, i.e., don't do one *side* at a time. Best practice is to start with one, then go to the opposite CORNER (not side), then return to the 1st side, etc. This allows the assembly process itself to "square off" the item so it sits correctly. DON'T set the screws all the way in, either, until you're sure it's squared off. Otherwise you could end up w/one side's screws further in than the opposite side, which reduces the stability. Hope that made sense but the idea is to keep things equidistant as you assemble it. Working alone, I think the whole thing took me about 45 min (including a few times I had to undo/redo a step b/c of vague instructions), a little higher than average. Assembled, it seems pretty stable. I've not attached the wheels yet b/c we're using it for a party this weekend but when I move it to the laundry area I'll prob add the wheels. It's worth the advertised price, IMO. I've seen ones made of plastic that just snap together for this price or more and this one is at least made of metal & held together w/hardware. ... show more

  • Nice design, durable and heavy duty.
I ordered the Sakugi Heavy-Duty Clothes Rack, it came in a box ready to assemble, assembly took about 45 minutes, there are a lot of little screws and bars, but it was straightforward, and when it was completed it was very sturdy, and rolls great. We ordered this to use at a guest property where the washer and dryer are in the garage and there's nowhere to hang clothes. I love the additional shelf in the middle, although it does mean you can't really hang dresses (there are additional hooks included so you could hang from the ends if needed.) I can see this working well in any walk-in closet as a staging area for vacations, or, in a garage where you could hang all sorts of sports equipment. It's a good value as well. 5 stars. ... show more

  • So easy to assemble and adds lots of space
This is the easiest to follow instructions I’ve had recently! So great! The only recommendation I can make in assembly is to not tighten down the screws until you’re all done. It just makes sure that everything is straightened out and lined up correctly. The only downfall is that the hooks are plastic and they strike me as being a bit flimsy. But honestly everything else is super sturdy and I’m so happy to have a double rack to store clothes. Both my daughter and I are trying to pare down our closet and this give us some space to store things while we decide what we are keeping and getting rid of and then after all that’s done I’m planning in using this in my daughters closet to add storage space for her. I’m super impressed with this clothes rack and would recommend it to anyone needing extra space. ... show more
