The Gudwells face mount bolt on gate hinge is built to reduce the space between the jamb/gate/post. It is designed for both bolt onto and weld on to the gate installations. It allows for 180°swing.The welded pin design makes it has an anti-tampering feature. The dependable roller cage bearing design ensure it has a maximum durability. The hinges have the largest weld surface which make it easy to install and mount. You can also bolt it on to the post and bolt it on to the gate frame. The fasteners are not included. It’s available in prime coated and ready for painting! It's ideal for estate, commercial, industrial, ornamental iron and access controlled gates! It's has same function as the liftmaster 2062P gate hinges so it’s an ideal replacement for liftmaster 2062P gate hinges!

These hinges are built to support a ton.. they are slightly loose so I'm surprised they have bearings. I installed them to hang a 4ftx6ft wrought iron gate made from 2x2 square tube iron. They should last forever.... hopefully.

    • I really wanted to like these hinges but...
These hinges seemed great and heavy duty. My installer and I welded them onto the metal gate and post. This is a pedestrian gate. We then tested its opening and closing. Worked great. After painting and installing hardware, I opened the gate fully (which I had never done while testing). I then went to close the gate and it wouldn't even close because the gate was now hitting the post that it previously latched into. I couldn't understand what was happening. I pushed the gate into the top hinge and it went back to where it was. There is so much slop in the hinge that the gate now doesn't even close without pushing it back towards the top hinge. I guess I'll cut it off and re-weld it, accounting for the slop in the hinge. I'm just disappointed that it's all finished with paint and hardware and now I have to cut the hinge off, re-weld it, and repaint it. ... show more

    • Actually beefy, grease zerks are great, 1/2" mounting holes.
These hinges are the only part of my gate project that worked the way they were supposed to. There's clearance for bolt heads inside the hinge when it's closed and when it opens, unlike every other hinge I looked at. My only concern is that it seems these will likely rust pretty quick, but I've slathered them in red n tacky grease hoping for the best. They did not come greased, so make sure you fill them up with something rated for high friction. Great product. ... show more

These hinges give the option to either bolt or weld which is an extra benefit. So far they work great and are plenty strong for my metal gate.

I welded them to the gate. They are a strange steel. Not sure how to describe but it stunk abnormally while grinding the paint off to weld them. They seem to hold up fine. I know that is weird but I dont know why they were like that.
