  • Not a bad product for the price
Not a bad product for the price. Purchased this as a Christmas gift for my 14 year old to do T work with. By myself I was able to set the entire net up in about a hour. The directions we a bit vague but not to hard to follow. It did take some time to make all the final tension adjustments to the lines in order to keep the net taught but I expected that to be the case. By the time I was done the net stayed very firm and gave very little movement when the ball hit it. My son is super excited to have it and I am very pleased with the overall product. However, please note that you should not hammer the ground stakes directly into the ground. The rubber insert that the poles mount into cannot withstand the direct force of a hit with a hammer. You may wish to consider taking a 2 x 4 piece of wood and using that as a buffer instead. Note: The system I received was slightly different than the one shown in the pictures. The net has to be draped over the poles not hung from underneath with eyelets as shown in the pictures. Also, there are 7 eyelets in the poles for guide lines for the net but the instructions only show 4, likewise, only enough lines was provided for 4. Not sure what the other 3 were supposed to be for. I did use my own tie line to run another guide line through the top eyelets to prevent the net from possible sagging. I will let it sit for a few days to let it stretch a bit and them make some further adjustments. I anticipate adding an additional stake to the top center as added support. ... show more

  • Good value, nice backyard system.
Take your time putting it together. It goes together relatively easy, but you’ll get best results if you take your time. The netting is not super heavy duty and after about 2 weeks of consistant use, we have noticed a few holes in the netting. But overall this is a pretty nice back yard system if you have a young baseball/softball player. ... show more

  • Net it worthless and WILL fall apart very quickly
BEWARE! The thread used to sew the three pieces of the net together is NOT made of UV RESISTANT MATERIAL. While the three main pieces of the net will withstand the outdoors the threading used is NOT UV RESISTANT. So the middle, front and back sections will detach making this unusable. I am having to rethread and tie the three sections back together using a UV Resistant thread from Home Depot which will take HOURS. I do not know why they did this. But you will need to do this. It would not make the cost of the net anymore expensive since 99% is already UV resistant. This is a major design and production flaw. I’m hoping they will send me another one. It was in my backyard for about five months. It’s ridiculous. ... show more

  • Hard to beat for the price
I put 2 kits together to make it over 40’. Install is pretty simple but an extra set of hands to put the net up is almost a must. The string provided is kind cheap junk and I’ve replaced almost all of it with inexpensive para cord. I have had mine up for a year and half without taking it down, it’s sustained Texas heat and really high winds. It just broke its first pole a week ago. Another thing I added was a 100’ construction light cord, kids play in it during the winter season. I live in a pretty strict hoa and have had no issues with it being up. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for
This is a relatively inexpensive batting cage that is worth about what it costs. Even after reading these reviews, I still found it a bit of a challenge to assemble. And it's not particularly agile. For example, once you run the white anchor ties through the net, you can't adjust the net without tearing the netting. You're certainly not going to want to disassemble and reassemble it. The rods that form the frame are pretty flimsy, but the thing somehow keeps standing. I did add some bungee cords, as suggested by one of the reviewers. And only hit balls towards the side of the net that contains the pitching machine opening: the other side tears with even a modest line drive. We have 2 good-size holes already. All of that said, my son does get good use from it, hitting off of a tee. And it's been up for a week, through a bit of rain and wind, and it's still standing. So, all in all, it's worth about what it costs. ... show more

  • Batting cage
Very nice Quality, easy to assemble, grandson loved it to practice hitting, keeps balls inside and not all over your yard

  • Net disintegrates after less than six months
The cage and pitching machine are OK for the money. However, the cage is too short for any real hitting work. The batter is so close to the machine that you can only have the machine on its slowest setting. There is no time to react on anything faster. My main complaint though is that the red material used as a seam to hold the net together has started to disintegrate after less than six months. It turns to powder when you touch it leaving huge gapping holes in the net rendering completely useless. ... show more
