  • Total package!
Style: Heater
This is a very nice higher end unit compared to some others available on Amazon! Looks, feels, fits and operates perfect so far! Straight forward install with some electrical knowledge! Unit came right on and started heating instantly! Connected to WiFi and app download was seemless! Thermostat calibration was definitely needed because from factory it was reading about 10deg different from ambient room temp now it’s much closer like 2-3deg different! Keep in mind it’s ceiling mounted!! Heat rises! I would def recommended for a supplemental heat source! My garage is an insulated 20x20 (400sf) 8ft ceiling space with r15 insulated doors! This thing has no issues warming it up within 15min! So now let’s see how long it last’s 🤞 ... show more

  • Works well
Style: Heater
It’s not as powerful as some of the bigger heaters but it gets the job done! I purchased this heater to heat my garage since the bedrooms are over the garage and the duct work also runs through the garage. Unfortunately it did not help with my situation but I do enjoy getting into a warm car on these cold winter days. I also spend time in the garage working on projects and it’s nice not to be freezing while I’m out there. I enjoy the Wi-Fi capability that is built in, I can turn the heater on 10 minutes before I head out there. The remote is also nice while I’m at my bench I can adjust the temp without having to walk over to it. I did have to run a dedicated line to the unit for power, which I did myself just had an electrician wire it into the panel. ... show more

  • Excellent heat - just might need some circulation help
Style: Heater
I wall mounted this unit in my 2 car attached garage - 20' x 20' x 8'. The garage is fully finished with drywall (walls and ceiling) and well insulated with R13. Garage door is medium insulated Clopay type (16' x 7') with 4 windows. I'm in Michigan currently with outside temp of mid 30's F (Jan, 2021). I located the heater in a corner of the garage closer to the entry point of the house and about 2 feet off the ceiling. Positioning decision was mainly for aesthetic and electrical access. The heater delivers a solid flow of heat for a relatively small frame and can quickly make a significant temperature dent in close proximity to the source. The fan is decent, but not strong enough to truly circulate the air around the room or push it to ground level to raise the ambient temp as the heat rises. After two hours of mostly continuous operation on high, the ceiling area temperature directly across the room from the source (roughly 19') was at 75 degrees. However, the floor temperate (depending on varying locations) was in the lower 60's. With enough time of continuous operation, this heater, left completely on its own, can make the garage downright balmy in some areas, while still a bit chilly in others. A couple of challenge. One - there's no way to change direction of the air flow from the source and Two - the heater doesn't work like a space heater with an on/off low or high continuous operation mode. It's turns on and off based on the internal thermostat like a standard central heating system. The max temp that can be set on the thermostat is 99 degrees and its surprising how quickly the temperature near the source can escalate to that level. That means that while the temp can be toasty warm at the ceiling level, its chilly around the floor and of course the farther you are from the unit. Since the heater will regularly turn itself off until the local temp cools its almost impossible to get a balanced heat throughout the garage if left to its own fan. So - adding a ceiling fan to move the air around evenly would make a significant difference. That's not really an option for me in my relatively small space, so I'm going to use a small directional fan aimed directly at the heater to push the air away from the thermostat and let it function for a bit longer than it might on its own. It's a great little heater that can make a huge difference in small space - just consider some additional air flow support and it can be a real workhorse for larger areas as well. ... show more

  • Very good quality and performance
Style: Heater
This heater has a very good build quality. The fit and finish of all the parts is very good as well. It provides excellent heat output. I have two of them in a 1400 square foot insulated basement woodworking shop. On any given day, they can effectively raise and maintain the temperature about 10-15 degrees (F) above the normal temperature of the basement (~40 deg. F). I am not trying to heat the basement, just take the edge off the cold, so 50-55 degrees (F) is sufficient. I would concur with the other reviews that suggest an external thermostat. Even after calibrating the units to match my wall thermometer, they still usually shut down about 5 degrees (F) prematurely since they get up to the target temperature inside the housing faster than the surrounding room. That said, I set the thermostat about 5 degrees (F) hotter and problem resolved. For what it's worth, the thermostat inside the heater is centered in the input airstream, so the design is not bad. It's just not quite far enough away from the heater and housing to sense the true room temperature. I had the same problem with my pellet stove. A provision to connect an external, remotely mounted thermostat would be an excellent improvement. It can still ship as is, just give me the option. I researched a lot of heaters and looked at a lot of reviews including a a lot of YouTube install/reviews. Although this heater was among the more expensive units, I believe the value justifies the price. It is a good quality build, it works well, there's no extra dinking around you need to do because the manufacturer cut corners. You unpack the box, wire it up, turn it on, and it just works. ... show more

  • Best purchase this year
Style: Heater
100% recommend. Replaced my old garage heater with this one. I’ve been looking for a heater with a scheduling feature, and this heater has that and more. Setup was easy, from wiring to Wi-Fi, no issues. It is much quieter than my old unit, but probably too loud to be used anywhere other than a garage, shed, or workshop. Heats up my 24’x24’ (576 sq ft) garage pretty quick. I measured it this morning with the following results: Set heater to 70F on “Auto” and ran for 60 minutes. Outside Temperature: 35F Garage Starting Temp: 56F Temp After 30 minutes: 62F Temp After 60 minutes: 69F ... show more
