I purchased 2 of these for our big Halloween display; ended up only using 1. This is where the fun began. It started with me attempting to scare my husband. He was really late one evening, so the house was dark. I took the head, sat it on top of the water dispenser in the kitchen, right by the light switch, he will come in there and get water. I grabbed a motion light, opened the drawer just below, so when he rounded the corner, it would light up her creepy face. This is where the game started! He said fowl words, it scared the crap out of him. From this day forward, it has become a game between us and the teenagers. She gets hid in the microwave, pantry, various cabinets, the shower, towel racks behind the door, under sheets, next to pillows. Anywhere we can think of to catch the other off guard. My youngest teenager frequently yells at me "WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS!" after I scare him. I am now working on ways to incorporate our elfs with creepy chic. ... show more

So far I've bought this head in a dark brown to make a Lydia Deetz mannequin for a Beetlejuice Halloween, and the multi-colored rainbow haired one to make the sidekick on Wednesday- her roommate Enid. Both heads are lovely and sturdy, and the hair is soft and manageable. I am not a hair stylist, so I have no idea what else you could possibly look for in a wig mannequin. I've only styled their hair with gel and clips. No heat. I love that the head has a hole in the bottom, and I purchased a stand that fits in to the neck of the head, making a five foot nine mannequin! I imagine if you were styling her hair, the clamp would come in handy to fasten it to a table. I prefer the stand, which I have reviewed separately. Oh, you can "draw" on their faces with makeup. I had to add A LOT of black eyeliner to Lydia, and it's like Barbie skin. You can wash it off, but be careful! No harsh detergent. ... show more

This is a great product for a kid who likes to play with dolls hair. If you are getting this for yourself to practice a few styles. Save your money. Buy the expensive one. The hair gets tangled quick and sheds like crazy.

I actually bought this doll for my cosmetology practical exam. The doll head would not hold a curl. Would not hold a roller!!! And didn’t look right any way it was cut. I do not recommend this item unless you are buying it for little girl to practice pony tails or braiding.
