I used to get mine from HD, but I've found that these were alot cheaper and I use these all the time so I prefer to just order here when quantity is low and saves me a trip to HD. Good clean bolts appear to be in new condition A few of the bolts (4 or 5) in the box of 100 had dirty threads but wiped off easily. Not sure what it was, maybe dirt.

Ordered these for use with 1/4 Strut channel nuts, unfortunately, they didn't fit because the strut channel nuts are metric (M6x1.00 to be exact, even though they were advertised as 1/4x20). The problem wasn't with the bolts, they are 1/4 x 20. Unfortunately, already opened the bag and stripped two of them before figuring out the problem was with the nuts. Had to run around looking for enough metric bolts to finish the job, cheaper to buy the bolts vs the nuts. I'd return these, but the fault was not on the bolts. I bought a box of 100 bolts because (a) I'll always have a use for them, (b) bolts are fairly compact and easy to store, and (c) they don't spoil. These bolts are just what I needed for a particular task and it was cheaper and quicker than a trip to Home Depot during the quarantine. I needed a slightly longer bolt than the ones I was currently using and these were the perfect length and the remaining existing hardware was perfectly reusable.
