I got these to go with the Hape All Season Dollhouse. They are cute in person, but maybe not the highest quality. The hair is a little sloppy and there are loose ends on the clothes. It is nice that they are posable and they move very easily. It is difficult to get them to stand on their own, but they can. The clothes do not come off. My three-year-old ripped off the grandma's over shirt, but it obviously wasn't meant to come off. For those wondering about the construction, it appears that the head and feet are wood. Then there is a short plastic leg that connects to a rope for the rest of the limb. The arms are similar, with the end of the arm and the hand being plastic and the rest being rope. The torso is a hard square- I can't tell what it's made of. My child hasn't disassembled them that far yet ;) It's a nice size family and I'm glad that it was easy to find racial diversity. Overall, they might not be the highest possible quality, but they are nice and go perfectly with the Hape dollhouse. UPDATE: A year and a half later, and these have not held up well. Like I said, my daughter was 3 when I bought these for her and she is not at all gentle with her toys, but some of the issue was definitely the quality of the dolls. The faces are wearing off, the hair is falling out, pretty much all of the limbs are broken, and at least one foot has fallen off. She still loves them dearly but they will most likely be replaced soon. I also want to note that I wanted to add a baby to her family and I could not find a way to purchase a stand alone baby that was African American. The baby who came with the nursery set was white and I found a full family with a baby that I could purchase, but not just the baby. So, if you think you want a baby to match this set, make sure you buy the family that already comes with one. ... show more

They are posable and durable. My 5yr old has had them for a few months now . She still plays with them, non of the parts are broken are missing. The arms and legs are easily posable. They are the perfect size to use in multiple doll houses. Great purchase...especially for the price

My 4 year old granddaughter love these dolls. She relates them to her extended family while playing with her dollhouse. She recently misplaced the baby doll, which she considers it as herself in the family setting. After hearing her complain about not being able the doll I ending up buying a second set of dolls, but only added the one that was missing to the original cast. My daughter LOVES has loved this since 1yr. I have given them as a gift and my sister in law uses them for play therapy! They are great because they bend easily and they have soft yarn hair. Extra fun for littles. They would be amazing for doll houses

These brown wooden dolls are a perfect first for my daughters doll house. She loves this little family with grandparents, parents as children. They are wooden so not much movement but the feet are perfectly wide enough for them to stand then can also sit. Great buy
