great for any beginner at tatting with a needle. BTW, if you have tried to use the shuttle and having hard time the needle tatting is much easier to grasp.

An EXCELLENT demonstration of tatting - very, very helpful when you are just starting out. The video footage itself is "old" (which doesn't matter to me at all) but I gave it four stars because [offering it as a DVD] it really should have been given a segment menu so if you need to you can go back and re-watch a specific stitch/technique section without having to hunt for it using FF and rewind (which is a major pain). ... show more

Very helpful. I've been using it to modify shuttle tatting patterns. And the few patterns in it are very nice. The DVD was not exciting, but I learned a lot.

I thought I was getting a book but got a video. If you like a video this is perfect, I prefer a book.

I have a friend who wants to learn to tat. I ordered the DVD for her. I shuttle tat as well as needle tat but prefer needle tatting as it is much easier to corredt mistakes when needle tatting. Unfortunately there are no needle tatting pattern books. I needle tatted Christmas tree decorations for all my friends and neighbors this year. ... show more

    • Great instructional video
Love this video. It is clear and easy to see what is being done. I was having trouble with one technique so I just went back a couple of times until I found my mistake and it worked beautifully. Would recommend this video to all beginners.
