My 11 year old daughter took an interest in learning how to play the violin through school and we surprised her with her own violin last year and purchased this brand. Her violin teacher said that this is a good brand and she hasn’t had any problems at all with it except a small issue with one of the zippers breaking. I reached out to the company and they immediately replaced it no questions asked. I (as well as my daughter) was extremely satisfied with the customer service we received. My daughter is now into her second year learning the violin (she has lessons four times a week) and the quality of this violin is amazing. I know nothing about stringed instruments. I am a woodwind/brass player. I always wanted to try out strings so I figured this would be an inexpensive one to do so. All I can truly say is that simply stringing it almost made me lose my mind! So, I can't give an insightful review. But knowing what I do about musical instruments I will say that this violin is definitely crafted for beginners, is fairly durable, and is worth the price. ... show more

I'll be following up with more info in the coming week or two, because maybe I'm overreacting. But my first reaction is to note that I will NOT be spending the first few hours upon receiving this learning to PLAY the violin, instead I'll be learning to REPAIR a violin. So as I stated previously, I know nothing about playing the violin. Turns out it’s just like the one my son plays in Orchkids and I took it to them to both confirm and tune. My son is going to love his surprise for Christmas thank you and sorry about the initial bad review.
