The media could not be loaded. This is the most versatile coffee maker I have ever used, and it has also made some of the best coffee I have ever tasted. The coffee maker is very easy to set up and comes with the carafe, and k-cup attachments. The coffee maker itself is very straightforward whether you pair it with Alexa or use it as is. The coffee maker is essentially two brewers in one (but can still only use one side at a time), as it has the area for the large carafe on the left side with its own built-in water reservoir, while the k-cup side has its own separate removable water reservoir. The coffee maker can still only use one side at a time, but it has incredible versatility for those wanting their own cup of tea, coffee or other k-cup style drink versus making an entire batch if they choose. On the carafe side, the water dispenser can be moved out of the way to make it easy to dispose of the ground coffee when the brewing is done. Aside from that, the cup stand on the k-cup side is also removable to fit larger cups and thermoses, and also includes a ground coffee adapter for the k-cup side if you want to use your own coffee. To use the coffee maker, you interact with the touch screen display to toggle between the carafe and single mode (along with choosing the size of cup/thermos for the single mode) and toggle between bold and regular strength coffee. When you are ready to brew, you can hit it to enable the brew now option. After that, it will get to work immediately on brewing your beverage. With Alexa, this process is surprisingly simple. In the app, you can just add this as a coffee maker, scan the QR code on the back of the coffee maker, connect it to Wifi, and you can then control it from the app. The app will even give you information about the current brewing status and even the freshness of the coffee. You can also make adjustments on how long for the maker to keep the carafe warm after the brewing is complete and more. Additionally, when paired to the app it automatically configures the clock for you in real time instead of having to input it manually. Now, as far as the coffee itself goes, it is amazing. I like my coffee strong but I usually have to load other makers with double the usual amount of coffee for carafe brews to get it to my preferred strength. With this, I no longer need to double it up. When using the "bold" mode, the coffee was even stronger than I was used to (which is a good thing) and I don't know how the maker works to make it more bold compared to using regular mode, but it is definitely stronger. I've been using the same coffee beans and ground coffee for a long time, so for this to be significantly stronger is surprising to me as I always thought the quality of your beans and the roast is what determines strength, but this coffee maker has shown me that I was wrong. The coffee made by this is fresh, crisp and deliciously robust. In the carafe mode, it takes about 15-20 minutes for a full brew when using the bold setting, and in single mode, the k-cups will brew in less than a couple of minutes. Overall, this is an incredibly versatile coffee maker that allows you to make nearly everything you could want, and it does it in a reliable and consistent way. The smart capabilities are an excellent touch for those wanting to monitor the status of their coffee while getting ready for work, and the coffee brewed is perfect. I searched high and low for a dual coffee maker that we would like and would be functional. There is always a lot of coffee happening in our house, especially over the holidays. We always had a higher end brand, so I bought that one first, and it was a disaster. The single cup maker sprayed all over the place, no matter what I did. Then, remembering our trusty Mr. Coffee from the old days, I bought this one. It's the bomb. Not a single issue. Fits both Keurig pods and our grocery store's brand without being finicky. Coffee is consistent. It's super easy to use. I do wish I could adjust the warming temperature. And it's weird that you can't use the single use while the carafe is pre-set for the next morning - so you'd better remember to click that back on after! But this no-frills coffee maker is definitely the one. But those are minor "complaints." I just wish I had bought this one first! ... show more

I had a Hamilton Beach flex brew for 10+ years. So I purchased another. The other one only brewed single cup with ground coffee. I love that I can also use pods in this one. Also a decent 56oz water reserve for single cup. Some mentioned the caraf not lining up with the dispenser. Try turning the caraf handle to the right toward the single cup side. It lines up every time. The coffee is hot. I've found that the caraf side uses more coffee for a strong brew, even when I set to bold, than my previous Hamilton Beach brewer.
