  • The product meets the ASTM F2100 Level 3 requirements for breathability, fluid resistance, bacterial and particle filtration as well as flammability All testing is performed by US laboratories. ASTM Level 3 masks are for use during patient care where the risk of exposure to fluids is high.
  • Pleat style mask with earloops and 4 layers offering 98% filtration.
  • Product uses top performing materials which provide resistance to splashes and sprays And immobilizes particles as small as X microns using electrostatic charge and by trapping them in the weaves of the fibers.
  • Features the patented SO SOFT* Inner Lining Layer which is a colorant-free liner made using a softspun non-woven material which does not lint or abrade the skin. The liner does not abrade the skin and is moisture wicking.
  • Includes a fog reducing foam strip to limit moisture vapor and fogging of eyewear and instrumentation. The foam strip also provides added comfort across the nose and cheek as the mask contours to the face.

Choose the Mask That Fits the Task - HALYARD FLUIDSHIELD Masks are designed to provide the maximum level of fluid resistance recognized by ASTM F2100-11.ASTM F2100-11: The Standard for Fluid-Resistant Protection - ASTM issues guidelines for performance of medical face masks, including a requirement for fluid resistance and particulate filtration. ASTM F2100-11 standards also call for mask packaging to be clearly labeled with the level of protection in one of three levels: 1, 2 or 3. This standard reinforces the importance of labeling to identify protection level, based on fluid resistance, filtration and breathability. This greatly simplifies the process of mask selection. ASTM F2100-11 is recognized by the FDA as the standard for medical face masks.

Love this product, wear it through airports and on airplanes. Gives me a sense of protection while traveling. Wish it was packaged and sent in an Amazon box, so that the product box wasn't smashed with the masks falling out when it arrived. The envelop doesn't provide enough protection.

This is not N95 but it is close in filtration level. Much higher fabric quality than the thin blue ones found everywhere. It just doesn't seal as tightly against the face which is what makes the N95 unusable for most folks due to discomfort (and restricted airflow). The fit is as good or better than the KN95 masks and airflow is better. This is the best combination of quality and comfort I have found. They don't make Covid claims, but recognize only the uncomfortable N95 masks have some proven benefit. ... show more

This is the mask that doctors use at my hospital and I understand why. The quality is better and they are thicker than the standard cheapo masks you can buy at the store. This mask is a bit more restrictive than the cheapos, but that's how you know that this has quality material in it. In the end it's up to you which mask you use. If you wear a mask simply to "meet the requirement" then go for cheapos. If you care about your health, then get these. If you think these are too restrictive then get the Level 2 masks instead. ... show more

Work in a lab where masks are no longer required but recommended. These masks have a stiffness to them that allows you to shape them to your face a little so that they don't stick to your mouth every time you breathe in. I like them.
