Much better and more substantial than the typical crinkly instant ramen noodle packs. However, pay attention to the instructions. They tell you not to add salt because they had already pre-salted the noodles. Unfortunately, I bought these ramen noodles without the flavor packs just so I could control the sodium. If you don’t mind the salt, you should love the quality of these noodles. According to their label, these noodles have 885mg sodium. The package has 3 generous portions, and a nice feature is that they band off each portion for you. I'm a fan of Japanese cooking, and don't mind paying for quality ingredients needed to cook that cuisine, but until I had the packages in hand, I had no idea that I was paying for products of Australia. I know certain mushrooms don't grow locally, and the best caviar come from Iran and the former USSR - so if you love truffles and caviar they'll need to be shipped halfway round the globe, but noodles? Perhaps it's the rocking motion of the time at sea, or the diesel vapours from the freighter that makes these so special. The grains used are grown domestically, and there are companies making these noodles here, so this is my last order of ramen from Amazon. Loved the ramen noodles. They cook well and,don't get soggy they do however soak in the broth you cook them in. In essence the noodle it's self becomes infused with your choice of broth creating a tasty noodle. It accents your soup making your ramen experience an excellent enjoyable experience. This product is on the pricey side, but you really get what you pay for. It has excellent texture. I have had some in leftovers, and they don't get soggy. Once I tried this, this became my go-to brand.

These ramen noodles have no flavor to speak of – not even the 855 mg of sodium creates a taste or flavor. The texture is awful. Though I’ve never tried to use cardboard as a food source, I imagine if I shredded and boiled some it would taste very much like this product. Once cooked, these noodles are dry and grainy in texture and quite flavorless. Who doesn't want to try; Non-instant ramen, I'd recommend buying some ramen broth and these high-quality noodles and make a day out of it.
