The media could not be loaded. When I say the hair is soooooo soft and full I mean just that I could’ve asked for a better head to practice on while I’m in cosmetology school!!! I’ll definitely be buying more and for the price you just can’t beat the quality

they advertise it as real hair but it’s mostly fake and will burn and shrivel up with any lightener and heat like blow dryers and stuff. waste of my money.

I ordered this mannequin head at the last minute for a haircutting class. I was a little skeptical of getting good quality hair for under $50, but the reviews were overwhelmingly positive and I needed something asap. I'm really happy with the quality of the hair. This is the softest mannequin hair I've ever touched, even after washing it! It doesn't tangle or have that waxy easily tangled and immensely frustrating texture that many "all human hair" mannequins have. It also takes a curl really well and the density is decent. My only qualm, and it's a big one, is that as soon as I opened the box, a horrific rancid smell wafted out of the box. I know that mannequin heads are treated with chemicals, but this was something I'd never experienced. As the box had a chance to air out over night, it filled our entire apartment with a God awful smell. We weren't sure if there was a sewer leakage, if the pipes in the basement had an issue, if the dog peed all over the apartment in the middle of the night (even though he was crated so that was impossible), or if something had died in here. We smelled towels, linens, the couch, the dog, his bedding, the radiators looking for the culprit and were about to call the landlord, when I saw the mannequin out of the corner of my eye and smelled it again. All of the sudden it clicked. Whatever chemicals are used to treat the hair had permeated the apartment over night. After opening windows and washing the mannequin head twice (which again - was beautifully untangled and easy to manage), the smell started dissipating. All that said, I'm on the fence about ordering another one because it's SO smooth, malleable, and affordable! If so, I'll definitely be unboxing and washing it ASAP and letting it sit in the bathroom with the window open over night. However, I think it's possible that I lost some brain cells from that horrific stench. It was hard to concentrate and was immensely distracting. Anyway, happy hair styling! ... show more
