First off, the hair seems way shorter than it looks in the photos mostly because the ends are extremely thin. I’ve attached photos where you can see the scraggly ends which I’ve since trimmed off, and also the color difference in different lighting. The head itself is on the smaller side but it doesn’t bother me. Hair density is pretty good for the price, and is easy to part in center or either direction. The clamp it comes with works fine. I’ve used hot tools at 400 degrees with no issues. I won’t be using this to practice coloring so I can’t comment there, but for style practicing it’s great! ... show more

I'm a cosmetology student and currently use the Fromm mannequin heads, this one is slightly smaller but it's not a huge difference. The hair is really soft and it's real, I even cut a bit off and burnt it to check, it's real hair. The hair is uneven and needs a haircut (which since I'm going to school for that,, it would be almost expected) I have been able to heat style it, used a curling wand at 350 degrees and there were no issues. The media could not be loaded. NOT 100 HUMAN HAIR. Bought to practice color techniques... tested hair with curler and it curled with out burning but fell flat by the end of day with out touching it....But I said “how bad could it be” HA. I lightened her with 20vol for 25 mins..... and this is what happened! (See pics) I will say the hair is soft but almost too soft which is what made me skeptical. $40 wasted! ... show more

I Bought this for my 7 year old daughter who wanted to practice braids. She has been practicing on it for over a month and loves it. She is rough on it but it is holding up great and there is very little hair loss. She hasn’t used any hot tools on it yet but so far I would definitely recommend this mannequin head. ... show more
