For what I paid i was half expecting to recieve some lightweight, flimsy shears but I am surprised by the quality! These bad boys are sharp! I bought this because the reviews were pretty good, and people said it was good for lefties. But they aren't that sharp and would mostly just fold my hair instead of cutting it. And they're pretty uncomfortable to hold in my left hand. Might be okay for righties. Since COVID hit, my wife and I have been cutting each other's hair rather than going to a stylist. This practice started when our stylist refused to wear a mask during the early phase of COVID-19. We didn't feel comfortable having her in that close proximity to our face and her being unwilling to wear a mask. So - we got clippers, scissors and ultimately these thinning shears and started cutting hair for each other. It has resulted in quite a savings over the past four years plus we can easily schedule our cuttings to meet our schedule and never have to leave home. These thinning shears work well - I tend to have a bit of a "cowlick" with some stubborn hair, and this things the hair out to the point it can properly be combed and hold. I strongly recommend using YouTube to find out the proper way to use thinning shears properly, otherwise you can cause more damage than good.
