  • Good for Beginners
I’ve had this epilator for over a year now. This was my first experience ever using an epilator and my first go, I figured I’d try a sensitive facial area (don’t ask- no idea why). Word to the wise, do not try any area besides lower legs and/or underarms until you are comfortable with this device (or any epilator)! My dumb a$$ cut my lip up with three small cuts bc I had no idea what I was doing. Anyways, back to the review. Initially this was a great epilator. Charging seemed to always take longer than I expected but no biggie. But this epilator died a slow death over the year... first it stopped working while plugged in after only a couple months, but no big deal. Then the pink plastic guards started lifting and breaking off. Again, didn’t really effect the overall use of it. However, at the year mark, it seemed to be disintegrating slowly- wouldn’t work while charged, plastic pieces were falling off, and I can no longer see the light if/when it’s charging. All in all though, I used this 1-2x a week for over a year and it’s still chugging along. I definitely feel I got my money’s worth considering the great price. Just a few tips for those new to this sadistic world of epilating... I always epilate right after my shower- pores are open, skin is clean and the pain seems substantially less to me. I also cleanse my skin with witch hazel or alcohol, then a small coat of powder. The powder makes a huge difference so the epilator doesn’t get stuck on the skin and it glides and catches even the smallest hairs. Just don’t use tons of powder- put a little and then dust off the excess with a towel. After epilating, I would again cleanse with witch hazel (sometimes with a small amount of tea tree oil if there’s any cuts, etc) and then use powder. Resist the urge to pluck the missed strays or shortie hairs for at least a few hours - you don’t want to introduce bacteria from tweezers since the pores are all going to be open. I’d also skip deodorant for a few hours when possible so the skin can heal. Also, while in the shower, I started using my face wash and exfoliant products on the areas that I epilate. Skin is skin, right? Ohemgee- such a difference! Doing this would get rid of excess product (think lotion, deodorant) and also smooth out the skin and dead cells. This allowed the epilator to work much better afterward and my skin would heal much quicker! And don’t worry too much about the pain. Is it bad? Ehh. The first time sucks, but not enough to make you cry or curse (at least IMHO). If you prep with the steps above, it helps a TON. And each subsequent session will be much easier. Just resist the urge to shave in between. Eventually the growth gets into a cycle:) Hope this helps:) ... show more

  • I'll keep using it. Very happy with the result.
I would like it more if it had a better battery life for a whole body session.. However if you charge it well (like 3 hours I think) you'll most probably have enough for both legs... Then charge again for both arms or so... I followed a couple YouTube videos with tips like taking a hot bath and exfoliate a little like with a loof or something. Then keep the area to use it on warm for the pores to remain open. It makes the feeling completely bareable. Do it at night, is also one of the tips. Move it in little circles on the area until it removes everything (but dont apply this circle technique on the bikini zone) I noticed that for small áreas, like the underarm 30 min of charge will probably be enough. The bikini área is the most difficult and definitely requieres you to be a viking girl lol.. But incredibly happy with the soft result the day after ❤️ but gotta be slow, carful and take turns to rest. I hope it does remain soft for 4 weeks, but if not, at least for 2 and it will be worth it. *additional tip after I finished my bikini area*: 1. make sure to tense the skin with the help of your hand. 2. Use ice: this área is incredibly sensitive.. Put ice in a small área and hold it for at least 44 seconds,, or until you barely feel something in the area. Tense with your hand, and use the epilaror.. The ice will help diminish the pain like in a 90 to 95%.only that way I was able to finish my area. 3. It is way better that the hair is no longer than 3mm I would say,, hair gathers and grows very close to each other, and many hairs together could cause the machine not to get them, just to cut them, or to literally take forever to remove them. With battery: Day 2. I left it charfimg like for 4 hours. I kept the charge cable plugged to power, so everytime I finished an area, I plugged it back to recover a little charge while I looked at the skin and remove remainkng lonely hairs with a tweezer or so.. Playing it this way I was able to run non stop (escept for the stops I did for the tweezer time, rest the skin a little, or my back, or just answer a couple texts) for 2 hours and a half... Just going and going. I gotta say that the skin I used it on yesterday is even softer today... And today my áreas were really soft after the use.. I just gotta wait to see if hopefully 4 weeks will be hair free weeks to make sure it was all worth it. ... show more

  • Overall worth it.
I wanted an epilator for a while and to try it out i bought this one bc of the price and it seemed good enough. First off, it startled me when i turned it on bc i didn’t expect the noise to be so loud, it’s not too bad but it left a ringing in my ear when i turned it off after using it on my arms. I was able to do both my arms and lower right leg before it died, I didn’t really charged it when it came, so the battery life that came with approximately lasted me about an hour or so, but i wasnt able to finish both of my legs. I give it an overall 4 stars because for the price is good and does the job, just wish the battery life would be longer or that at least it wouldn’t take so long for it to fully charge (as it mentions it needs 8hrs to charge), and that it was a bit more quieter. Some tips that might help would be to do it in circular motions as it helps get the hairs better and hurts a bit less. I have high pain tolerance so the overall pain to me was like 6 or 7 out of 10. It might hurt more a tad bit at the beginning but afterwards you get used to it so it hurts less. And the pain for me seems to vary depending on how thick the hair is, like my arm hairs are thin and short so it hurt a lot less than my leg hair that are thickers and were a bit more longer. Will update if there’s any changes. Hope it helps. ... show more

  • Great product, but needs to improve on battery life
I love this thing. I’ve had it for 2 years and it still works like a charm. The only complaint I have about it is, the battery life is not so great. It’s enough to do touch ups, but if you no-shave-November, you’ll have to stay plugged in to get the whole works. Which I don’t mind, bc it works a lot better plugged in with the charger. My hairs are thinner, and growing slower ... show more
