I put in the AAA batteries. The batteries worked on other battery operated devices but did not work... period... on the epilator. It was a waste of money. I should have known better that this device wouldn't work.

First it does pull the hair out if the hair is long enough. I got for my chin hairs but I don’t like to let them grow as long as they need to be for this to work.

This is my first time,using one of these. It does the job and doesn't leave you with red bumps. I did not find it hurt removing hair even in the bikini area. The only draw back is that you have to let the hair grow to use it properly.
