Over the years, I've become a bigger guy. Used to be very fit...blah blah blah, all that. Anyway, my proportions are ridiculously out of whack now. So, I used to shop at DXL and get my trousers tailored to fit. But DXL doesn't really have much by way of assortment. You can get dark khaki, light khaki, and navy. Period. I'd like a bit more to choose from. At any rate, my navy colored trousers needed replaced, and I started looking for an alternative to buying already-expensive pants and then getting them tailored. The thing I like about the tailor is they take your measurements from the get-go and you're pretty much set. What I don't like is the bundle of cash for one pair of trousers. So, my online journey began. Every single pair of pants I've ordered I've sent back. Material's not breathable and ridiculously heavy, pants are way too long, way too baggy, waist size is way out of whack. You name it. Then I found these. I used to wear Hagar like 20 years ago, and I recalled liking them as far as trousers go. The reviews seemed pretty positive, so I thought I'd give them a try. I received the trousers a few days earlier than expected. The owners of the company who sell them wrote a sweet note they inserted in the package thanking me for my purchase. The pants were well packaged, and clearly new. Trying on: The waist was nearly bullseye fit. I wear a 29 inseam pant, and that's what I ordered. This inseam seems a little tiny bit too long for my taste (like, I might almost walk-down the back of the trouser leg). They fit pretty nice though the body. They are big and tall size, and the one whacky thing about my proportions is my thighs are muscular but not king size. So, the pants are a little bit too baggy in the mid/lower leg area. The crotch area isn't baggy, just the mid/lower leg area. So, overall, I love the pants, and I will likely order another pair. I will just order a 28 inseam, and then if need be, I'll have the legs taken in a tad. Spending $55 on pants and $8 on tailoring versus $75 to $100 on pants and $20 or more on tailoring...that's a good buy to me. Also, these pants do seem like much higher quality than my pants from DXL. They are sharp, crisp, and truly navy blue. My pants from DXL were more khaki material, and kind of a faded navy. I like these pants; they're sharp. in short, I like these pants a lot. I'll just need to get some tailoring done to get them to fit perfect. And I will order again! ... show more

I do field service work on commercial trucks. So I can be in an office or in a shop occaisionally on or under a vehicle. These present well in both places. They hold up and clean up well.

    • A little heavy for Texas but fit just as expected.

The fit is as expected - comfortable and the waist height is just as I like it. The legs have enough room for men’s heavier legs to fit. The heavier weight will be good if it ever gets cold but I don’t think it will be ideal for year round warmer climates.

Have ordered several of these and all have come in the correct size even though they are made in different places. Like the fit. Only complaint is the button at the waist often cracks. Would be nice if Haggar gave you an extra button.
