  • Very good mirror with a few issues
Color: Silver Glass Size: 62mm
Pros: sturdy, quality mirror, easy to install and adjust, very clear high quality mirror. Cons: doesn't have a convex shape so while you can see cars behind at a greater distance, and clarity than a mirror with a convex shape, when cars get close you don't have as much view... So it's a tiny bit harder to see cars as they pass you. This can be somewhat fixed by positioning the mirror. Second, the mirror takes some work to clean. Seems minor but it does affect clarity. Overall this is definitely an upgrade over the plastic body mirrors found on Amazon and provides perhaps the best long distance view of traffic from behind. ... show more

  • Great Bike Mirror!!!
Color: Silver Glass Size: 68mm
Although I understand the argument against having a mirror on your bike (they are no substitute for looking over your shoulder), I really like having a left side mirror to keep an eye on what's behind me (I still look before I actually turn or move to the left). I've used one for decades. In fact, I'm so accustomed to a mirror that I often find myself glancing to my left hand when I'm walking, expecting a mirror to be there. For decades, I used one of those mirrors that attach to your handlebars with Velcro. Many cyclists don't like these because you have to constantly adjust the mirror with your hand. I understand that, but the few times I tried mirrors that attach more firmly, they also moved, but I couldn't instantly adjust them. I went with the Velcro because it allowed easy adjustments while riding. When some clown knocked over my bike and broke my Velcro mirror, I expected just to buy another one. But I was dissuaded by reviews that said the quality of those mirrors has declined. I therefore decided to give this Hafny bar end mirror a try. Wow, is this Hafny mirror ever great! It was really easy to install--like a minute--and holds firmly. I ride over pretty rough roads, and the mirror hasn't moved. Yet, the ball joint on which the mirror part attaches is easy to adjust by hand if I need to. This is also the joint that allows the mirror to be folded in, which helps when walking the bike through narrow doors. And the rearview is almost as close to excellent as you can get. I say "almost" because I'm used to an oval mirror with a bit wider rearview. I think I would still prefer the wider rearview, but this may just be habit speaking. The rearview from this mirror is wide enough. Since I got the slightly larger round mirror, I can't comment about the smaller one, but I'm glad I bought the larger one. Meanwhile, the rearview is super clear. There's no distortion or funny stuff. I know what's behind me, and about how close it is. The optics are really good. Since I haven't tried the stainless steel model, I can't comment on it, but I'm glad that I bought the glass version. I did buy the plain glass instead of the anti-glare blued glass. Because I haven't tried the blued glass, I can't comment on it. However, I reasoned that it's really rare when light from the mirror bothers me (invariably only at sunset when the sun is behind me), and as long as I can quickly move the mirror by hand at those times, which I can, the blued glass isn't necessary. So far, this has been my experience, but I can't imagine that having the anti-glare blued glass would hurt. Also, while I'm far from a gram counter, this mirror is surprisingly light. It's unobtrusive too. My old Velcro mirrors weren't heavy monsters, but this Hafny is notable for the weight and bulk it doesn't add, despite performing its function superbly. Now, from surfing, I'm aware that there are competitors that make similar mirrors. Some of them may be as good, I don't know, but I can't imagine any of them being better. I post very few reviews on Amazon (I hate to provide free labor for billionaires) but I'm making an exception because it's unusual for me to be as happy with a purchase as I am with this mirror. Right after it arrived, I attached it and rode through crazy Latin American urban traffic, only to realize that I had to post a positive review. It's that good. ... show more

  • Excellent Bike Mirror...
Color: Anti-glare Blue Glass Size: 68mm
...although its not Aero. But that's fine for me. Up to 25mph cruising I don't notice it. I also wanted something sturdier, bigger than the typical $15 ones I've had before, and one that could angle out a bit more. This one is definitely bigger, with a good, non-warped view of the road behind, and can be adjusted out wide beyond view of you and/or the bike. Its easy to install, stiff with no jitter and holds the angle well throughout my rides. Mirrors for biking these days is essential IMHO. I happily gave it a 5 because I've already laid the bike down on it and its still going fine. It didn't hit too hard, but still, I figured it was toast. But its not. ... show more

  • Best bar-end mirror I've found
Color: Anti-glare Blue Glass Size: 62mm
I've tried half a dozen other handlebar mounted mirrors on my bicycles over the years, and Hafny is still the best of the lot. It has a decent field of view, is fairly adjustable, reflects good image quality (both glass or stainless), and most of all is compact and stays out of the way. Tried too many other mirrors that protruded out too far, or had an awkward field of view, or barely reflected enough light to be useful, or didn't adjust nicely. The Hafny's "automotive grade" glass is quite durable, copes with scratches and moderate use. The stainless version is even better with tough use. But it loses a half star because the rest of the plastic structure isn't equally durable. There's one (almost invisible) seam in the outer ring that becomes a break point in case of impact -- which the mirror is obviously prone to absorbing in a fall because it is at the outer end of the handlebar. When it breaks, it really breaks -- it's hard to put the flimsy bits back together with glue or tape even temporarily. You can't expect much more for the price, but it would have been nice if it degraded more gracefully -- I would prefer a metal ring that bends or dents rather than splits, so it could be repaired at least temporarily. Or if the glass was designed to attach at the center (which is more protected) rather than be bracketed by a vulnerable outer ring. But keep in mind it's comparable in durability to pretty much every other mirror product out there. While the field of view is decent and the ball-joint adjustability is good enough (not quite 360°), I still find myself twisting it to its limits and wishing I could turn it inwards or upwards another five or ten degrees for the perfect angle. It's flexible, but not as flexible as a gooseneck mount. A second ball joint would probably help for fine adjustment. But this is still a better situation than any other mirror I've tried since the angles work at least 95% of the time. It also holds up well in bumpy conditions and still remains adjustable by hand even when the screw is tightened fully. I recently switched to the anti-glare version (after irreparably breaking a previous Hafny stainless steel mirror bracket). The anti-glare glass is really effective in bright light, but note it is a bluer and very slightly dimmer image. It's not enough of a difference to matter to most people in darker conditions, and the anti-glare effect is worthwhile otherwise. But if you ride a lot at night or your eyesight demands a brighter image, consider the regular glass or stainless steel mirror. ... show more

  • Easy install and stays put.
Color: Silver Glass Size: 68mm
This company must have consulted bikers because this design allows us simple installation and best of all... the adjusted mirror stays put. Riding over a rough road surface does not require me to readjust the mirror. I have not ridden my bike on mountain trails and can't give input on how well the mirror would hang on but I would guess it would do the job based on the few pot holes I hit testing the mirror. The viewing surface is just the right size to take a quick look at what's behind me . ... show more
