I purchased 4 ft ramps to use at the entrance to our walk in basement for safety. These are so sturdy and a complete game changer for my safety concerns since I now have a complete metal spine. They seem like they will hold up extremely well over the years. The no slip tread covering is a plus. They were easy for me to carry and place (I’m 70 and female).     • Poorly put together

Rated a 3 based on price but closer to a 2. I first notice the 3 washers were not put between the legs and ramp but simply added on before the nut. Though it was a lock nut it was not screwed on far so the legs were vary unstable. Of course you wouldn't want them tight as the legs need to fold under when closed. The biggest design flaw was that the ramp would not open flat as the hinges were welded where there wasn't enough room to full open the ramps. I wold have sent it back but needed the ramp immediately. I drilled the holes bigger to allow the ramps to separate enough to open fully. I ended up taking off the legs and using bricks to support the ramp once installed. As loose as the legs were, I wouldn't trust them not to fold over with movement. The ram is designed to be portable. I get that. Because of that it is not as sturdy as one would think. The two parts that fold up should hook together somehow after opening to allow more stability. You get what you pay for and sense the 3 stars. Again, it should have been returned with the flaw in the hinge welds that didn't allow it to open fully/flat. Sorry, no pictures ... show more

I teach piano in my home to students with disabilities so I need a way for students to access the house while in a wheelchair. I looked at several ramps but chose this one for three reasons: 1) It fits on the stairs from the garage into the house (so it is out of the elements) but could be easily removed if needed. 2) It fit in my studio budget. 3) The legs that can be put down made it seem more sturdy than most portable ramps. When my dad became wheelchair bound years ago my sister purchased a portable ramp that did not have the mid-ramp legs. It was scary to watch the thing bend in the middle whenever anyone used it!! It took a few minutes to get it really properly situated, but has now been up in the garage for 2 months. My husband walks over it 3 - 5 times a day and it hasn't budged. It does not bend precariously in the middle like the ramp my sister had. I am very pleased and my student can attend his lessons safely! ... show more

I want to return this ramp, it won't flatten out at all even with patient and wheel chair, so it's a bump you have to push over, very difficult. Please take this back. It is not as advertised. I had to wait until patient came home from rehab center to try, but didn't work
