Installed on a 1995 7.3 OBS. Fitment was good with a little cutting. Probably a 2 day project with the correct tools and some added hardware.

It's a functuinal and will definately work well. But it is not something to be installed by some one who doesn't possess basic vabricatuon skills. It's not a bad intercooler. How ever if doesn't come with most of the hardware and mounting it isn't easy to figure out being that no kind of paper work came with it at all. And what it does come with doesn't fit the truck. So you will be making modifications to the brackets that come with it and making some of your own. Welds aren't the best(I'm a welder so what bothers me might not bother you). I would recommend it if you know how to fab. Works just as well as the others on the market for 500 less. ... show more

For the most part the kit fits, the boots are black not blue, no fasteners for brackets or intercooler except the ones for the 2WD brackets which I didn't need cause mines 4WD, top bracket to intercooler to short so had to fab a little

This is a HUGE improvement over stock for my 1997 F350 powerstroke 7.3. Originally I had a 2" Garrett intercooler on this truck that was installed when the original owner (my step father) had it installed at the dealership. The old intercooler was ok but when I upgraded to larger injectors (160/0) and got a new turbo and fresh air intake, I took it in to a performance shop that dyno tested the truck. They said I needed to increase that intercooler size to a 3" but Banks intercoolers were close to $2000. This package was the perfect option. It's beautifully made but at nearly half the cost of Banks it was a no brainer. Now that I've ran the truck under load it has greatly improved the power because it's like it breathes more freely and the intercooler pipes are still cold even after a heavy load driving uphill which gives you denser air that is so much better for combustion. Also the Exhaust Gas Temperatures are vastly improved. Now I can tow that heavy 5th wheel travel trailer that I have had problems in the past towing up hills. Anyhow, I've included pictures of the install just before re installing my S&B fresh air intake which was a little bit of a squeeze but since the intercooler pipe that comes next to the plastic S&B pipe stays cool especially the driver side pipe, it's perfectly safe. I did have to unbolt the factory metal elbow that connects to the CCV to gain the clearance needed and rotate it about 10 degrees. It was tight but it all fit perfectly. Anyhow I highly recommend this intercooler. I did a boost leak test which you must do after you install this and there are no leaks so I think this setup is bullet proof for the life of the truck. ... show more
