*UPDATED 5/9/20* Gxmmat contacted me several times wanting to make this right. I was hesitant because I still wanted to have the right to return the mat to Amazon for a full refund (the refund period was extended due to CV-19). I told Gxmmat this and they still wanted to send a replacement knowing that I may return the original order for a refund. I received the replacement mat, including gloves and storage bag (same as original order), within about 2 weeks. The item is new, definitely not a previously returned mat. I haven't used it enough yet to comment on the quality (i.e., was my original a fluke or is the product just inferior) but I will update again after I use it more. Adding 1 star to the review just for customer service and Gxmmat standing behind their product. *ORIGINAL REVIEW* I really wanted to like this mat. It seemed like a good mat when it arrived. It doesn't have an overwhelming chemical smell. I liked the bag and even the free workout gloves were decent. However, after about 3 workouts, one area of the mat began degrading. The image attached to this review was taken after six 30-35 minute workouts wearing shoes (boxing-type workout). This is completely unacceptable for the price of this mat. At least it has free returns so this will be going back to Amazon. Going to try a Gorilla Mat instead when they are back in stock. I'd recommend passing on this one. I ordered the Cardio version. The company has two series of mats, the Cardio and Yoga versions. You can wear shoes on the cardio, but not on the yoga or else it will fall apart. Unfortunately, BOTH SEPARATE ORDERS had the wrong product. The carry bag the mat is in, says "Cardio - Training - Max", but the actual mat has a sewed on seal that says "Yoga - Training - Max". Please see picture. Maybe this is why some reviewers talked about the mat falling apart, because they thought the version they received was the Cardio version (that is supposed to be more durable and able to withstand shoes). I really wanted to try and love this mat, but it is not the product I ordered. Two separate orders that both have a different description on the outside when compared to the inside, is misleading and SUSPICIOUS. Obviously, both are being returned and I will be ordering from another company. This Corona Virus period is tough, but quality control should be on point. Update: 01/14/2020 Now that we’ve had the mat for a few weeks I thought it might be a good time to give some more thoughts. It’s size has really been a great factor in how more usable this is than the normally much smaller mats you see in stores. Our last mat was starting to peel and really show its wear after a couple of years, but I can see this lasting much longer...it’s just very solid. On that note, although it may not appear that thick, but it feels just right. It gives enough absorption, but we remains firm enough to give proper support. No problems with this moving around on our wood floor, either. We just leave it laying out all the time in our workout room, and don’t have to worry about damaging it without shoes or anything, it’s so durable. I can also add this company actually cares about ensuring it’s customers satisfaction. They’ve made sure I was more than happy with my mat, and it’s been much appreciated! Really high quality mat. Seems to be very durable though time will tell. It came rolled and not folded, so there are no creases. My wife really loves the mat, so that’s what really matters, lol. A plus is that it looks really good in the workout room! Will post pics soon. So sad, I highly recommend this mat. ... show more

    • Good Mat, Great Customer Service But Leaves Black Particles With Use (happily easily vacuumed)

The good: - Great sized mat for an average-sized man to do a boot-camp style workout with lots of jumping, lunging and burpees (jump, squat, thrust) type movements. Bigger is always better, of course, but this 6x4 size is perfectly adequate - Comes with three straps to hold when rolled up, very convenient - Great customer service The Bad - Fairly quickly (I'm thinking of 50 hours of works outs, 75% with shoes) the mat started shedding tons of little rubber particles. And to make it worse, they don't clean up easily with a towel and cleaning solution. Happily they vacuum up well - The mat moves a fair amount when placed over carpet as I exercise on it. I don't know if any mat would do this or it's the smoothness of the underside of this one When I contacted customer service about the particle shedding issue they said, basically "Yes. These mats are considered consumable, and we suggest you don't wear shoes when working out on it." And they immediately replaced the mat. ... show more

This is a great workout mat. I had previously purchased mats that came in puzzle piece squares with edging that I had to tape together. Those mats were much cheaper and would shred within a year requiring replacement. This mat is clearly a much higher quality mat. The mat isn't slippery to workout on and it rolls up to a very compact size. The mat came with a storage cover, 3 Velcro type straps with buckles and a free pair of workout gloves in the storage cover pocket. The price for this mat is around 3 times that of the cheaper ones but should pay for itself over time as I had already gone through 3 of the previous cheaper mats.
