I measured myself and I thought it was off when it showed I should order a medium. I usually buy large. And I feared just in case it ran small I would order the large to be safe. When it arrived, it looked good (after using my steamer for a few minutes). I was happy and impressed that It did NOT run small I could in fact have ordered the medium.
