  • Buy This!
Color: Walnut
This is perfect for my 16 month old (at the time of purchase) who loves to be picked up all the time, but especially when I am in the kitchen. I hesitated to buy this, because I thought my toddler was too young for it, but I was wrong! He even eats and sometimes plays with toys in it.Super easy to assemble (only had to add the feet). Fold up nicely to be moved out of the way when needed, but honestly we use this all the time! Don't hesitate, buy it! ... show more

  • Great quality piece
Color: Walnut
Practical use: We put our 2yr old in here for his little art projects. Coloring, stickers, etc. He loves going in here to play and asks to use it. He can climb in and out himself, but the first day he used it he fell out the back - twice. We ordered and installed the accompanying safety net a few days later and it works like a charm. The only issue is that if you leave it fastened, they can’t get in and out on their own. (Pics are before we put on the safety net.) Additionally, for safety purposes we kept the platform fastened with the screw but you have to unscrew it in order to fold up the tower. We just leave it unfolded mostly when not in use but it would be great if there was and easier way to fasten and unfasten without need for an Allen key. Quality: feels nice and sturdy and the stain finish was nice. It’s been bumped around a little bit and no issues so far with chipping. Packaging: Product was packaged well and no damage from shipping. Assembly: Product came mostly assembled. All I had to do was add the feet and screw the platform down. Some people complained with the feet in that it would not sit flush to the cabinet, but I think that depends on your cabinet style. Our cabinets have a little recess at the base and the feet fit in there perfect. ... show more

  • Perfect for toddler who wants to be up with everyone.
Color: Walnut
Just received yesterday. It came totally assembled except for the feet which were super easy to put on. It comes with the mesh side and a non slip plastic pad. It looks nice and has two height adjustments I believe. Top level was perfect for our nearly two year old. Very light to move around. Haven’t tried to fold it yet but you do have to unscrew a couple of things to do that. Not sure if I’d be folding it as much as I’d like to. Daughter and everyone loves it. She fell of a stool we had for her to wash her hands and color at the island which prompted me to order this and it is awesome. ... show more

  • Almost perfect. ALMOST...
Color: Walnut
I love the concept of this kitchen tower, and so does my daughter. It allows her to stand at the kitchen counter and "help" us prepare food, which makes her feel like she's a part of things. I compared a lot of different kitchen helper stools before settling on this one, and most of them have one of two designs: some are completely enclosed on four sides, and others that are open on two sides (usually with an upper crossbar, like this model). Personally, I don't think either of these designs is perfect, and I'll explain why. The fully enclosed towers are nice for safety reasons because once your toddler is in the tower, he/she won't be able to get out easily, and certainly won't fall out. The downside is that you have to lift your toddler all the way up and over the side walls to get him in or out of the thing. For some people this may not be an issue, but when you are several months pregnant it's a no-go -- just ask my wife! As for the towers with open sides, my concern there is safety: your toddler could more easily fall out, or even just put a foot too close to the edge and have it slip out of the tower. Are there any advantages to the open design? I suppose once your toddler is large enough, he could climb in and out without assistance, but it's a tricky maneuver and certainly one our 18-month-old isn't ready to do yet! So what might be a better design? I would love to find a tower that is fully enclosed on the four sides but has one side that can swing open like a door. Then you would have the best of both worlds: a tower that your toddler could easily climb into (with the door "open,") but then couldn't easily fall out of once you latched the door closed. Frankly I'd be surprised if no one else had thought of this, so I'm stunned that I haven't yet found a tower like this. As for this model, it has a lot going for it: 1) It is easy to assemble. Aside from screwing the feet to the base, there really isn't much that needs to be done. 2) It is sturdy and well made, and it folds compact for storage. Keep in mind, though, that the structure is sturdiest when you screw the floor panel in place, so folding it up would require removing this screw. 3) It's actually quite nice looking! I like that it isn't made of loud, colorful plastic. 4) It folds up for easier storage when you aren't using it. There are a few things I don't like about it: 1) Again, related to its open design, a toddler could potentially fall if his/her foot slipped over the edge of the floor piece. And as we discovered with our 18-month-old, younger toddlers may be inclined to try climbing in and out of the tower, which is not easy to do and could easily result in a fall or bumping their heads on the tower's upper crossbar. 2) Each of the four legs has two feet (which you attach during assembly). While these feet do provide extra stability and make the tower less likely to tip over, they also force the tower's floor panel to be several inches away from the counter. If the tower is positioned so one of its "open" side faces the counter, this space would be easy for a toddler's foot to slip into. Having said that, our daughter has never done this, but I worry about the possibility. Overall I'm very happy with this counter stool, but I would love to see one with a lockable door on one side! ... show more

  • Large, Sturdy Step Stool
Color: Walnut
This is not designed to actually contain children; it is more of a step stool than a play pen. This is sturdy and can hold a child for some together time in the kitchen. My son is almost 2 and has gotten curious about helping me cook. This boosts him to just the right height to reach the countertops... and everything on them. He now tries to move this around the kitchen when he wants to be with me as I cook, not that I always want his "help". He can crawl in and out with no issue. I give it 5 stars because it is very good for it's intended purpose, just do not expect it to be a portable raised playpen for your toddler. ... show more

  • Worth every penny!
Color: Walnut
Every parent needs one of these if they spend any time in the kitchen. The quality is great, and I trust that my child will be safe while helping out. We have a really small kitchen, so the fact that it can be folded up is awesome. I would recommend having your child be barefoot or have socks with grippies on them as it can be a little slippery in plain socks! Great product and would definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Attractive design, functional, and a big hit with our toddler!
Color: Walnut
At around 21 months my son began demanding to "Hep Mama!" and we tried kitchen stools and dining room chairs but it quickly became apparent that it wasn't safe (AKA he fell. Twice). This was a great addition to our kitchen because it is safer, it looks great, and it easily folds out of the way when not in use. My son, now 2 years old, loves it and can climb in and out himself without difficulty. He loves to be at counter height to eat his snack while we prepare dinner or to "help us". ... show more
