This was only the second model I've ever built, and far more complicated than the first- so putting this together was at times challenging and definintely tried my patience (although in a good way). I'm giving the Orchard House by Goduqi 5 stars, because the finished product is absolutely enchanting and delightful. All the parts were there, the instructions "worked", and each finished piece was very interesting to build as well as educational. I worked slowly, @2-3 hrs per day, and it took 3 weeks to finish. (And am in my 60's, so manual dexterity is not what it used to be). Wiring the lights was the hardest part- but they all work! It’s super cute and I like how it’s all within books, but I have been making miniature kits for a while now, and I love the rolife since you build the furniture, this is not really like that. You only get to build like 6 small furniture pieces and it takes not even 15 minutes. Really the majority of the build is just gluing the walls on and putting them up, and just applying stickers on stuff. Another thing I had issues with, is the wood they provide in sheets, a few of them weren’t cut out completely, making it impossible to get the pieces pushed out without breaking them (I accidentally broke a few of the panels) But overall, if you’ve never done miniature kits, this will be perfect, it’s easy to follow and not complicated. But if you want something that takes time, and has more personality, get something else. I finished this entire build in ONE sitting, maybe 4 hours total if I was being a perfectionist. But it was fast, easy, boring ... show more

Despite the fact that it was missing one of the black frame wall support pieces (luckily I was able to build one), this was really a great kit. I did tweak/customize a few things to make it my own. I added more wires when building the large tree to make if more full. I would definitely recommend this kit. I have done approximately 25 of these kits before this one so I had a bit of experience so these comments may be a little bias. ... show more

This was my 3rd miniature house from Amazon and it didn’t disappoint!! My first kit had the printed items either punched out or were stickers and certainly I appreciated that sooooo much more than cutting these. However, it wasn’t an end all for me. This set I had to hand sew the pillows for the bed and couch, but that wasn’t terribly hard to do. I skipped the music box bc it just sounded creepy and I didn’t really see the point. The wiring for the lights was a tad tricky and even though I got it to work (YouTube had really good videos for LED lights), my hubby did fix it for me. I liked that a lot of the smaller pieces of railings and wood details were already painted and punched out (also sanded) in this kit. I was missing the piece to do the tiny seat in the living room, but it wasn’t a big deal. I did purchase better items to do the vines, which I haven’t added yet. I definitely didn’t have enough of the green crepe paper to do the vines, but again not the biggest deal. Overall I’m really happy with the way it turned out. I did already have a tiny tool kit to use, but you will definitely need one. I also had my own glue (I used super glue, clear glue and precision craft glue from Amazon). Oh I also used a gold gel pen in place of the gold paint on the details of the furniture. The gold paint worked well for the picture frames and other larger items, but precision wise I’m glad I had the gel pen for the rest. ... show more

Most importantly, this kit does not come with any glue, which is not mentioned in the description or on the box. But it says it requires Alcohol glue and wood glue. There is nothing worse than getting a kit that’s supposed to be able to be built into what it shows with no way of building it. The kit is super cute. The instructions and format is very difficult and oddly setup but since I was able to figure it out with mild delay, they must make some sense. A kid wouldn’t be able to understand this though. It is extremely tedious and time consuming. We just spent 5 hours making a coffee cabinet with a treat display case, coffee pot, coffee press and etc on it, 3 tables, 2 chairs, 2 stools and much coffee cups and plates of food. We have another maybe 20 hours to go still on building this. My 12 year old is capable of all the skills required so far to build this but she needed constant help, a working buddy, to complete it. This isn’t a leave her to it and just help when she gets stuck, thing. You can’t walk away at all because the entire kit is very complex. You cut up paper, magazine (glossy) paper, various fabrics and use wooden pieces, wire or beads to make most of it. It will definitely be cute when it’s done but it’s also a gluey mess at the same time for someone new to this kind of thing.
