I never changed wipers on my 2019 SantaFe before but always buy the beam style. Usually go to the local Auto store, the nice man says " should I put them on for you" and I say "well Ok, why not". Don't know why he asks, what could more simple. These I installed myself and they work just fine. The "natural rubber" is very soft, the beam style conforms to the windshield just as they should even in heavy rain.. I do not know how long the natural rubber will last but for now they seem like excellent blades. Highly recommended, especially at the price. So then what's the "But" you might ask. Well, these J hook wipers are really simple to install. But what if the wipers on you car aren't J hook. How do you get them off. And what if the wipers are down below the hood line. How do you get them to stay up so you can change them. What if the nut that holds one wiper arm on has come slightly loose over time and the wipers cross over one another when you turn them on. Well then, not so simple. This comedy of events can happen if you, the "car guy or gal" in the family, tries to show the grandkids how to change the blades. Or so I'm told. Turns out, the non J hook wipers can be really tricky to get off. And newer cars with the wipers below the hood-line have a procedure for getting the wipers to stay up so you can replace them. On the SantaFe it's : A) Start the car B) Turn off the car, then within 20 secs. lift the wiper lever up C) Hold it up until the blades stop in the up position. D) Remove the non J hook blades after watching a youtube video on how to do it. Oh, and do not forget to check the nuts that hold the wiper arm on or a comedy event might occur.     • These are a cost-effective OEM type replacement wiper blade set.

I initially ordered this set of 22" rubber wiper blades as a replacement for my 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, but after ordering these I bought a 2021 RAM 2500 that had wiper blades that should have been replaced long ago. Luckily, both trucks have J-hook wiper arms. The Chevy currently has silicone wipers which work well through the year in hot Tucson summers and when it occasionally dips below freezing in the winter. These blades are of similar Mono blade construction, but the blades are rubber and a bit cheaper. Historically, silicone blades tend to last longer than rubber, depending on construction, but the initial performance of these blades does match the initial performance of the silicone blades. I would expect to get a year out of these, but silicone usually lasts a couple of years. For an inexpensive option, as long as your vehicle has J-hooks, these are a decent option. Unlike most other wiper blades I have purchased over the years, these do not come with adapters for any other type of wiper arms. Another significant difference, at least in my experience, is that these were much easier to install on the RAM arms than any I had gotten for the Chevy, but that ease may have come at the cost of an extra click of securing the wipers to the hooks. Both trucks have holes in the hooks that are secured with an extra flexible lever with a protrusion into the hole that secures the blade in place from inside the hook before the securing mechanism on the front of the blade is clicked into place. This may be difficult to imagine, but there have always been two locking clicks for each blade in all my previous installations; these only click in place on the front, not the inside. It has not affected performance yet, but I have only been on one trip with light rain where I got to see these wipers in action. At some point, I'll probably have to drive in monsoon conditions (yes, that's a thing in Tucson) so I'll have a better idea of the stability and performance. Bottom line, I would recommend these: 1) If your vehicle has J-hook wiper arms, and 2) you don't want to drop $25-$60 on premium silicone blades. ... show more

    • Intuitive installation

I installed these blades on my Sienna minivan. + As of 8/14/2023, the price of $16.96 with a 40% coupon is a pretty good deal for a replacement blade set. + The blades arrive slightly bent in a box that has a rectangular footprint. While rectangular boxes occupy more volume than the traditional long packaging of wiper blades, they fit and stack better with the rest of my clutter. I always keep a spare set of wipers in the car, because wipers break. Don’t ask me how I know. + Easiest installation: this J-hook adapter uses the most intuitive design out of the common ones on replacement blades, I did not need to reference the manual at all. Just lift the front tab and remove. Some OEM and replacement blades are really not intuitive, which can be problem 6 months down the road when you’ve long lost the manual. + While replacing just the rubber blade is possible and theoretically more efficient, whole blades like this are just much lower risk in terms of installation. The outgoing blades on my van were a combination of an older set of Denso wiper blade frames, and newer generic rubber, which had a major problem with squealing when wiping a nearly-dry windshield. That could have been an issue with the chemistry or the fit of the blades affecting the attack angle during downward wipe, whole blades eliminate this risk. - This is not super important as most DIY blade replacers should know about the blade covers, but I would still like to see removal tags on the blade covers themselves, not just on the outer packaging. The first time I did a DIY blade replacement, I left the brightly colored cover on the blade for a week, thinking that is just what RainX blades look like. ... show more
