These products worked great and the design is excellent. They appear very strong and are made out of aluminum alloy so hopefully they are the strongest part of my set up. I used them to attach round Yakama bars to my SUV roof rack. I attached Yakama universal Mighty Mounts to the SUV roof rack and attached these to the Mighty Mounts. These are great tube clamps. I used them to mount auxiliary lights on my 2013 Honda NC700X motorcycle. These are much lower profile than other tube clamp options, and match the aesthetic of aux lights. The paint seems very durable. I am not sure if it is powder coated or just painted, but it looks really strong and none of the paint was chipping off like it has on similar products I have ordered in the past. The silicone inserts ensure a tight fit that will not slip or rotate, and protect the tube from scratches. The item comes with a thick and thin insert, and a clearly printed diagram of which inserts to use depending on the size of the tube. (For larger or smaller tubes, there are different item SKUs on Amazon). The item only loses one star in the review because, as other reviewers have pointed out, the tiny M4 threads in the soft aluminum strip easily. I had one out of the four bolts strip out. This is easily fixed by picking up an M4 nut from the hardware store to screw on to the other side. Overall, I'm happy with how my project turned out! ... show more

Basic product for a decent price but I am not a fan of the vinyl/rubber inserts that can be used to reduce the internal diameter of the clamps. They are not cut to size and feel cheap. The brackets appear fine but it seems to not be a truly finished product.

    • Nice clamps - but READ THIS FIRST! Save yourself time and headache with my installation tip!!

First, the good: well constructed, solid aluminum pieces. Looks good. The bad: bought the 1.75" clamps to fit the 1.75" diameter tubing on my bull bar. Using the parts supplied, even with the screw down as tight as it can possibly go, there was still a significant gap (visible light between the inner part of the clamp and the tubing), and it would just spin on the bar freely. The images for this product here on Amazon show that if there's not enough clamping, then to cut an aluminium soda can into a strip and use that as a shim. After driving to the closest convenience store to buy a $2 Coke just for this purpose, it still didn't work. I should have known better. The only thing I had around the house to try and fill the gap was some double-sided foam tape. Tried that and it just compressed too much and made a sticky mess. After giving up and nearly returning the clamps, I slept on it and the next morning came up with an idea: bicycle inner tube cut into strips. Went to Walmart and bought a $5 20" bicycle tube. Cut it into the size strip I needed, wrapped that FIRST around the tube and then used the clear silicone gasket. That did the trick! Just the right thickness and most importantly, provides so much grip that with putting my weight on the clamp it will NOT rotate!     • Nice and solid rack mount brackets
After ordering 3 different sets of brackets to fit my Rocky Mount Roof Basket, these GS Brackets provided the ideal light mounts for my application. Her are the issues. Right off the bat one of the rear over tube tightening bolts stripped and jammed in the thread pocket. This was a few hours of labor to remove it. Of the 4 thread pockets, 50% stripped. Most all the brackets on Amazon are about the same design manufactured from Aluminum and this point, the threaded pockets are all suspect. Although the inevitable stripping occurred, the fix was simple. I purchased a new set of longer bolts with nuts and lock washers. I used a piece of the provided shim with an additional inner tube sleeve I cut and mounted the brackets. With the additional hardware and thread locker, these brackets are going to last and keep my lights positioned correctly. Great brackets but expect the common stripping problem with most all with these similar designs and prepare. ... show more
