I was looking for a good water proof Bib for walleye fishing early spring on Lake Erie. I have a Simms Pro-Dry gore Tex jacket. The matching bibs to this jacket were not a good fit for me (medium, too tight around rib cage, I am 5’9” 185). I ordered a couple different bibs, chose these. Why? The Grundens are made with a very durable exterior. I looked at theses and thought I can wear these to work outside and they will hold up (firewood, snow plowing etc.). This is especially apparent when directly compared to the Simms pro dry jacket. To be fair, the Simms is strictly billed as a fishing jacket. The bibs (M) easily fit over a heavy pair of work pants. I wore these while digging out from a blizzard with a tractor and 76” snowblower that coats the operator (ME) with a nice coat of snow while in use. Previous to these, I would come in soaking wet and frozen. Now, completely dry and totally comfortable experience.     • Finally. Weather gear that stands up to the weather.

Have had a chance to use both the jacket and bibs and have been happy with the purchase. Spent an entire tournament in 45-50 degree, steady rain. Stayed warm and dry. The bibs had plenty of room for long underwear and flannel lined jeans. The jacket accommodated long johns, heavy t-shirt, fishing shirt, and a pullover fleece. A little snug at first but everything settled and I was comfortable. The cuffs did allow water to wick through but I was wearing wool gloves which were soaked and in contact with the cuffs so asking a little much expecting sleeves to stay dry. However, sleeves of shirts were only damp about an inch or so. Plenty of pockets, enough not to remember where you put things. I would like to see a hood that has a bill long enough to cover a ball cap bill and maybe a way to attach one to the other. These are expensive but if your spending time on the water these will make the time much more enjoyable. A final note. I do not think I'll be in these in the warmer months. ... show more

    • Broke in 10 seconds what a joke

these are the most expensive bibs you can buy and the buttons snapped off in the first ten seconds I tried them on. Grundens quality has slipped to JUNK I would advise ordering these bibs or anything from this company. They used to produce good products, now its cheap china BS
