This particular ring isn't made of silicone but some other material that allows it to be multicolored. This is according to the company from email correspondence I had with them. Whatever this is made of did get hard over time and did shrink some to the point that it became uncomfortable and hard to take off. Some of the color also started wear off. The shrinkage was over a period of 8 months and was very gradual. One day I just noticed that my ring was getting a little tight and then I had a heck of a time getting it off. However, they have a "No BS" warranty and they are not kidding. Customer service is amazing. I got a gift code for a little over what I paid for the ring and used that to upgrade to a Zeus Edge silicone ring. When that ring arrived, it ended up being a little too large for me so they exchanged (you have 30 days) with no hassle at all. Groove Life is a great company. Don't buy your rings from anyone else. They will replace it or exchange it within 30 days for any reason. If you destroy one or something goes wrong with it, they will replace it forever. No need to buy a ring again. I have been very happy with the product and the company. They make great looking, very comfortable rings and the warranty truly is No BS. You can't go wrong. This is my husband's second Groove ring. The first one he "out grew" but don't tell him I said that. Despite being 4 years old, the original still looks like new. And, like the headline says, I think Groove is a little pricey for a silicone ring, but my husband says it's worth it because it's comfortable, fits his lifestyle, and stands up to his abuse (and he breaks a lot of things). ... show more

For some reason, my husband's gold wedding band started hurting his finger so we thought we would try one of these silicone bands. It fits perfectly, he loves the camo pattern, and more importantly, it is comfortable and does not hurt his finger.

Initially this was a nice ring. After a few months the camo pattern began to wear off. After about 14 months now, the silicone hardened and shrunk, and the ring had to be cut from the finger and thrown away. JUNK.

Very good quality. I am a roofer and it is perfect to wear at work. It is easy to clean and even working with rough material, there is no wear and tear. Lightweight, sometimes I forget I am even wearing it. It is just stretchy enough to get on and off easily, but not too stretchy that it slides.
