  • Wish I’d bought sooner
I ordered this for my husband as he is the one who details cars. He had been complaining about never having a clean pad. I tried to wash them in the washing machine, but he wasn’t happy with me over that. I tried to just spray them out, but that wasn’t working either, apparently. He finally broke down and ordered this. I thought it was just a bucket and couldn’t imagine it would be worth it. I am not the detailer though so I didn’t argue. He says it’s a dang fine invention and he’d only wished he’d ordered it sooner. He says it cleans his pads fast without ripping them up. So he’s happy and it seems to be saving us money now! ... show more

  • As Advertised, Time Saver
I was dubious about the functionality of this device. I use Optimum products for car care, and working clean is something that's been the mantra for detailers for a while. I had a few issues where my compressor blew oil into pads because it didn't have an air oil separator or air cleaner in-line so I purchased this in order to stop destroying pads. I put enough water in the bucket so that I had to compress the pumps about one to two inches before the pad was contacting water. Dropped the appropriate amount of ONR into the water and used the Hyper correction system to polish the paint on my 2019 STI. Rather than having to switch pads in the South Florida heat every panel or so I was able to correct the entire car with two pads. One for compound and one for polish. This meant that the time wasted swapping pads and letting them cool on a table after having cleaned them out was saved and I could just keep correcting. The pads were cooled off after having run them in the washer with solution. I will say that you need to keep your polisher speed while cleaning out the pad down at the lowest setting or you will chew up the foam. Max speed gets your pad dried out. I was using Lake Country pads as well as Griots Garage fast finishing pads. The foam as well as microfiber pads came out clean and with just enough ONR on them so that the pad was fully lubricated. Overall this was worth the purchase. I detail three or four cars in a year and this was worth the money spent. It cuts the amount of time I spend during the correction process down by approximately half and keeps me focused on the correction process. ... show more

  • A little expensive for what it is
I only rated this a 3* due to the price. I did get my polishing pads clean using the product. I wasn't really thrilled with how wet the actual polisher got though. You do have to be careful not to dunk the thing in water or else it could be a problem. I returned it as I didn't think the value was there for what it did. Just my two cents worth. ... show more

  • Just... Buy it. No regrets here. Major time savor. MAJOR.
Is it expensive? Yes. But the convenience is amazing. It makes cleaning pads so much easier. I have a out 40 different buffing pads ranging from waffle weave, to hex logic, wool, microfiber. All of them. Double sided, you name it. I have it pad wise. I cleaned ALL of them in about 5 minutes. Dryed too. Each pad can be cleaned in just a few seconds. Pumps are nice to pump the cleaning solution into the buffing pads. I mean, I had 3m perfect it compound on my pads. The compound had been on some of them for weeks. Loaded right up. Rock hard. Still only a few seconds of cleaning. Such a time saver. For me who details everyday, and buffs 10 hours a day. This was worth it for me. If you are a weekend warrior, it may not be for you. But for me and what I do, HIGHLY recommend. Absolutely. ... show more

  • This thing will save you time and money.
I was skeptical of this item but decided to order it anyway. It seems like it’s overpriced for a bunch of cheap plastic but you’ll have to get over that. Between saving time and pads lasting longer because you don’t get your adhesive wet, this thing pays for itself very quickly. It’s almost as fast to wash your pads with this thing as it is to have an assistant doing it for you. I don’t know how I did without it. ... show more

  • Definitely cleans, but very messy
Excellent way to clean & wring out your pads. But it’s messy! Water always finds a way to fly out of the opening. Keep a towel over it.

  • Ultimate Timesaver
Time and time again I added this product to my cart. Yet, I would never purchase it. I kept thinking to myself, “It’s a glorified 5 gallon bucket, and they want how much!?” I was wrong. I finally pulled the trigger on this thing and I’m kicking myself for not doing it sooner. I’m able to clean my DA polisher after every panel I polish. It’s been an absolute timesaver and would highly recommend it. 30 seconds and I’m ready to go again. ... show more

  • Yes it's kind of expensive, but worth the time and money saved
Yes, it's expensive.... yes you can buy a 5 gallon bucket, a $10 grit gaurd, and a $3 kickball and make your own..... BUT The pumps are nice. The sealing lid is nice (for when I mobile detail). Even at $120, you make that back the first 2 or 3 paint corrections with time saved, and pad life increased. Pads cut better when they are clean and fresh, but washing by hand is a pain. Now I do 3 panels, wash, dry, repeat. Cuts at least an hour per job, and realistically probably more. Try it out. Return it if you don't like it. No risk, but lots to gain! ... show more
