Overall, I wanted to avoid the plastic Barbie dream dollhouse look and have something classic in appearance that may last longer. Right out of the package, this thing has a HEAVY chemical scent. We had purchased a nightstand that also had this same scent and it lasted for 2-4 weeks, so I expect that to be the case with this. Assembly was simple and took approximately an hour, if that. Most accessories were assembled or pretty close to it. The only damaged piece was a small split in a “wall” but it’s functional and then the mirror has a small dent in it. The stairs are complete veap and purely aesthetic - we only got 3 out of the 4 pieces needed. I may eventually add in some wood there and then put down contact paper/peel and stick wallpaper to omit the spaces for stairs altogether. That being said, I love the variety of furniture you get and the footprint of this thing. I wanted something tall and with enough width, but not too deep to where it would take up a TON of floor space. This should hopefully be a great dollhouse for my kids to use for a handful of years to come. I think lowering the price a little and/or improving the quality of the stairs and a few other accessories could be ideal. But, overall, I’d buy it again since it’s something you can customize to your liking. ... show more

Structurally sturdy and easy to put together. Didn't expect to receive extra furniture and detail pieces so that was nice. Big issue was the entire front left side of the house is NOT white. It's a large structure piece so very noticeable too. After Reading reviews was hoping not to have quality control issues but it seems it happens often with this product. Bought this for my 11 year old and she adores it! It is quite tall, easily accommodating Barbie sized dolls. It comes with all the furnishings and some dolls. I am most pleased with its sturdy structure--solid wood. This is the dollhouse I'll keep and future grandchildren will play with. So we'll made. Although putting the house together takes some time, the result is a really happy kid and great quality doll house. I have a very happy grandchild who has hours of fun playing make believe.
