Sooooo unhappy! The first time I ordered this I received exactly what’s described - 6 boxes of 12 pods each of the Single Origin Sumatra Reserve and it was wonderful. This time I received a box filled with loose old coffee pods that are definitely not the same version, past their prime and nowhere near the same quality. I called customer service and got a refund bc there was no way after trying it that I could drink this stuff. This brews a truly bold cup of coffee. I like my coffee really strong. The darker the roast the better! Double Diamond has become a new favorite. As a reference I also really like Green Mountain Dark Magic, Tully's Italian Roast and Starbucks French Roast. I would say that Double Diamond is an even darker roast than those three. ... show more

I love Dark Magic! I have attempted to add other dark roasts but they are either too burnt or bitter tasting without the depth and well developed flavor of Dark Magic. Unfortunately, my last few deliveries have tasted flat and uninspired. The dates are good but all of the K-cups have a crumpled foil top. In the past the tops have been slightly puffed and tight. Makes me wonder if these are manufactured “seconds”. If so, Maybe that is why the prices go so low at times. ... show more

As far as taste goes, this coffee is excellent! However, I had to stop using it because it kept clogging my Keurig. I use several other brands of coffee in my Keurig and for some reason, this one ALWAYS clogs the system. Now that I've stopped using it, my Keurig has worked perfectly. A co-worker of mine was the one who actually brought up the possibility that it was the coffee because he had the same issue with this particular pod. I'm not sure what the issue is but it's too bad because EVERYONE loved the coffee. I'm only rating it 1 star simply because I can't use it for what it's intended to be used for. ... show more

    • Bold taste with real coffee flavor, not just burnt grounds
One of my misgivings with Keurig coffee is that I never tasted a strong enough brew in my travels. When I got a 2.0 maker as a gift, I got to sample a variety and found the Green Mountain Dark Magic coffee to be the best tasting of all the samples I have tasted, enough for me to order the 90 pack for good measure. I like a bold coffee taste, not just "burnt roasted beans" but honest to gosh flavor so this is my pick. ... show more

I alternate between the Dark Magic and Sumatran Reserve pods on my subscribe and save deliveries. With this flavor, I have gotten several boxes over the past year that don't have an adequate seal between the top foil and plastic part of the k-cup. There's no way to tell that the k-cup is defective before you put it in the brewer. However, the pressure of the brewer pops open the foil and spits coffee grounds into your coffee cup. Not a pleasant surprise when you get to the bottom of the cup! See attached pictures. ... show more

Flavor Name: Dark Magic Size: 12 Count (Pack of 6)
I can't function without a cup of coffee every morning and occasionally one in the evenings. My favorite is dark roast and I drink it black. Given that I drink it this way, the flavor is crucial. There's nothing worse than an acidic tasting cup of coffee. Dark Magic is delicious. This, however, doesn't make it my favorite, rather the kick it has to it does. Starbucks pods were on sale recently, so I decided to buy a few boxes when I ran out of my Dark Magic. I bought Sumatra and French Roast. French Roast suited my needs okay, but I noticed I was still incredibly groggy after a cup or two of Sumatra. Finally, I finished those pods and ordered these. The first day I had my Dark Magic again I was feeling energized and great! I never stopped to think that switching my coffee could make such a difference, but it made a notable one. I will add I drink my coffee in the morning on an empty stomach before working out (I don't drink pre workout) so I notice how I'm feeling afterwards. Long story short, this is the best dark roast I have tried by far!!!! ... show more

    • Great deal for awesome coffee
My favorite k-cup with its bold, but not bitter, flavor. I don't like hot, colored water. This gives a strong brew, and it tastes great. I drink my cofree black. If I have to add cream to make coffee palatable, then I won't buy it. This is the best deal around on this magnificent coffee. For $.54 a cup, you can't beat it. So, great flavor an great deal.
