  • Well made comfortable shop apron
Color: Black
All though I've only had this shop apron a few days I'm pleasantly surprised how well constructed this shop apron is . To begin with I was looking for something to wear while doing woodworking, or and repair work around my home I was tired of going inside and leaving a trail of saw dust behind me every time I would reach into a pocket there was saw dust or wood chips or screws or nails even a nut or bolts forgotten there !! I can't tell you how much abuse my washing machine has taken from stuff in my pockets from a project. I have a welding apron so why not one for all the other stuff a D.i.y home owner or shop worker does . So it didn't take long for me to fall in love with this shop apron the pros for me are good grade canvas not overly stiff and unmanageable, plenty of pockets for a scribe , pencil, pocket for dry wall screws or nails bold what ever a place for my glasses which I'm always misplacing, nice length well designed soft nylon belt material that goes over your head and around your neck to keep it in place it's fully adjustable with quality leather sewn on the back strap cross support and apron string ends the grommets seem to be well made and the apron is well wide enough for me and I'm no light weight 6'3" over 300 # it keeps me covered and that's doing something!! Plenty of additional little pockets for maybe different screw gun tips , small pocket tape measure or anything you might find nessasary for a project. I got the black one because in addition to carpentry I do quite a bit of mechanical and electrical stuff as well so a 7 in 1 screw driver and a pocket full of wire bugs and I'm good to go I figured it won't show grease form automotive stuff. But after getting this and seeing how well it was made and functional I'm thinking of getting another just one in brown just for wood working and use this black one for a little more dirty involved projects. The fact that they are so reasonably priced is really great that you can still get good quality stuff for a fair price . I like getting home after working on construction site all day and going in my shop at home and take it off the coat hook by the work bench and be able to do projects without ruining my regular street clothes while I get busy making dust and dirt I just brush it off hang it up and walk away clean . My only con so far is the dam apron string/strap isn't long enough to go around my middle so I tie to the grommets not thru them and tie in frontlike designed now I would love to blame someone for this but it's really my fondness for Burger King Whopper with cheese and coffee truck cinnamon rolls. So all and all two thumbs up 👍👍 for me only time will tell tell how long it will last I do a followup review in a year . So get one I don't think you'll be sorry. ... show more

  • Nicely made, big, and comfortable woodworking apron
Color: Black
I do a lot of rough and fine woodworking almost daily, and so far I have been very pleased with this apron. This apron's canvas construction is stiff enough to provide you with some protection, while also being flexible enough to be comfortable to wear for long periods of time without feeling heavy, and without overly restricting your movement. The apron's vertical length is 30.5" (77.47cm) from the top of the bib to the bottom of the skirt, and the width at its widest point is 28" (68.58cm). The apron comes equipped with two 3/4" (1.91cm) wide shoulder straps that should be plenty long enough (c. 60" / 154.2cm each) to accommodate most body sizes. The straps seem thick enough to be durable, and they are softer than nylon straps, so comfort should not be an issue once the apron is loaded up with your tools. The end of each strap has a soft synthetic leather wrap that is riveted in place with a 3/8" (9.525mm) diameter metal rivet, with double rivets on each of the two hooked ends to better support the load . The two shoulder strap hooks are spring clasps mounted on a rotating swivel, and they appear to be made of a bronze-like metal. There are two shoulder-mounted 1" (2.54cm) grommets where the strap hooks attach to the apron, and two more grommets at the top corners of the skirt. The straps are held together in back by a cross-back style leather junction. The apron has seven hemmed pockets, with each secured by top corner rivets. While I'd prefer that the pockets had double stitching, the rivets add enough extra strength that the single stitching is unlikely to be a functional issue. Overall, this apron is a really good value, and I expect that it will serve you well for most purposes. I am happy to recommend this as a great multi-purpose apron. ... show more

  • Well made but no back piece
Color: Black
Not sure what that cross strap holder in the back is called but there was not one in our bag. My dad is fine without it since he didn’t expect it but I was for sure irked. The apron is well made, really cool materials, I’m a pocket fan so that caught my eye for sure and my dad is really pleased with them, perfect spot for meat thermometer (and tasting spoon imo) plus phone and glasses or sunglasses. The way the straps connect is really cool and just what I was looking for to upgrade my dad’s grilling apron. Would love longer straps so these can be tied easily in the front - my dad has trouble tying it behind himself, but I’ve known other men with that problem so I don’t think it’s a unique problem, plus all my restaurant aprons were/are long enough for front tying. My dad likes this so much he plans to get el jefe embroidered on the front, so it’s still a win despite missing the back piece. Wasn’t sure if he would use this for woodworking/corn hole board making, but this is sturdy enough to be used for something like that too. Though I got it for my dad this would be good for any gender. ... show more

  • Works decently although needs initial learning to wear quickly
Color: Black
I find it to be a good apron while woodworking in my garage shop. It protects clothing from occasional sawdust. Also the ability to carry important tools in various pockets is very valuable. Stitching has been holding up and only time will tell the durability. A few things to note - 1. Top most pocket shouldn't be used for storing items like mobile phone. When you bend down to pick up something I had my phone slip through and fall. 2. Although trivial once you get used to it, I took sometime to get used to the straps. Being able to wear alone on my own also takes a bit of practice since it requires tying the knot behind the back. Neither of these things mentioned are significant enough to remove any star from the overall rating - they are just some minor things to get used to. Overall a great buy and definitely recommendable. ... show more
